Reports that Numis analyst James Hamilton said ROP represented Provident Financial's version of payment protection insurance. 'Should they have to repay all the premiums as the banks have done it could question the viability of the group,' he said. Up to the powers that be as to what happens next in this sorry saga, to think I bought yesterday thinking it was a good price....only to bail first thing... just glad I was online early doors.

They would be mad to buy more - the reputational damage / sh1t storm about to hit woodford and barnett will be huge. Why did they both hold 20% of such a horrible business and why were they buying more in June will be what they are concerned with. Woody is supposed to be a safe pair of hands for 1000's of investors : (

I think the business will need t be totally revamped if it survives. in hindsight it was obvious that the revenue would take a massive hit by changing the salesforce from self employed agents to employed company benefits CEMs. If the former didn't sell they didn't eat; if the latter never sold they just moaned...
