22/8/2017 09:40 | What a complete and utter car crash. My only exposure I had was via an HL income fund that I luckily sold yesterday. Any income fund will presumably have to dispose of their holding now so personally won't be touching it. What was fascinating was that after the last drop the HL fund guys said they spoke to the board and had been reassured and that they remained confident longer term. So either they have been misled or the fund manager is not competent. | davr0s

22/8/2017 09:18 | Problem here lay with Crook, he was behind the curve, i still believe the original model works, nuts and bolts lending, and many of those people most likely live on the breadline and do not necessarily have online access with their lack of credit, but he was most likely past his sell by date, he took the business up through the ranks, maybe hubris got the better, but the board should have acted sooner, his mugshot does do him much justice, but he is wealthy enough to get by now! | bookbroker

22/8/2017 09:01 | > fenners66 9 Aug '17 - 09:30 - 637 of 756 I posted a while back questioning why they would change the model. They have tried to sell it as a more efficient customer service led change. However, what if they made the decision based on the idea that they did not want a future scandal (a la Wonga) on their hands? After all if you seriously incentivise the agents to lend more and more , is it not likely that sooner or later someone is going to get a loan that they cannot re-pay? Then could that translate into a Wonga style write off? I do not buy the dressed up improved customer service - especially as the agents have signed up elsewhere. Their clients may well get loans from the agents - because that's who they always did use - not because of interest rates or anything else. Seems sometimes reading between the lines works. I was not convinced by the spin - looks like I was correct | fenners66

22/8/2017 08:58 | The bizarre thing is these folk who borrow money via PFG are most likely the secure ccreditors, as they already have quite severe limitations imposed upon them by the terms of their agreement, it's the one's who borrow £10k +, whereby they just pay the minimum, they are the danger to the financial system! | bookbroker
22/8/2017 08:57 | Glenkaz nice hindsight bs there. | rackers1 |
