The yield looks nice - but will dividend be sustained.
I would like to see the full year results first

Seems that caution was correct here

Congratulations on your lottery win glenkaz. Look after it though it is very easy to see nothing left in a few years if mismanaged. Seen it many a time with share windfalls!

Well some problems are a mere blip and others a big problem.
They have lost a skilled work force, with customer connections, mainly to competitors. They seem to be out of favour with their customers. In the front line this is difficult to correct.
I think Woodford wanted to believe what he was being told and let emotions take over.

The Vanquis issue seems to be resolved to a large extent, the FCA has been looking at this for over a year, recommendations made!

I think, like Carillion before them, the management have lost all credibility. On one hand the decline in sales and collection was entirely an own goal. But to cover up the FCA inquiry to all, but those piling out in recent days, is absolutely unforgivable. I switch from long to short.

Value to be had at this level, they will most likely need a capital raising to stabilize the ship, existing holders do not have much alternative except to support it, particularly Woodford, he's in pretty deep!!

I agree, it was the note on Vanquis that shocked me. Suspect the only buys are shorts closing. Seems that the press reports were true and news had leaked. Re Woodford and others reckon they were hoodwinked in briefings post half year results.

The PFG retail bonds are looking sick as well. Not surprisingly starting to factor in a default/going bust.

Glenkaz

The poor use this money when it really is needed and pay it back. It provides them a line of credit that they wouldn't get elsewhere. You used it years ago and are now trading here? Either you have done very well over the last few years or you are a fool.

People 'having a go' at Woodford. He has probably been told the same story as we have. He had the same tall stories at Capita seemingly. Not his fault. Just unlucky. Both gave good returns and the hit a brick wall on management incompetence.

The FCA should be looking into the reporting here as well as Vanquis!

This is a shocker of an RNS. Not invested in this company but feel for those hoodwinked. The FCA comment is very interesting.

Wow Woodford and his investors are not going to be happy its a top 5 holding in 2 of his funds.

Sorry for those invested here waking up to this I know how it feels but as bulltradept says it illustrates the importance of spreading risk even with the biggest companys.

I'm out. Bit of bad timing yesterday on the top up. Still, down to experience and move on. Surprised with the content of the RNS. Awaiting update on Woodford blog....

Wilmherk,

As long as you've used position sizing correctly with your pot you'll be OK. Eample: £100,000 split between 10 shares, if one drops 50% the whole portfolio only has to rise 5.8% from that point to recover the loss.

In this game, it's all about risk mgt.
