Whether it can be done for net gain, that's a fair point. But hydrogen does occur in nature. H2O, in the atmosphere, etc.

Of course this is not without risk. There is always risk. But two things worth baring in mind:

- The prototype system is currently working in Thornton Park and producing electricity.
- We are expecting independent verification of the system within about a couple of weeks.

I don't understand how one can ask a question and suggest they have received an answer, a conclusive answer at that, within the same post. And I've seen Back To The Future 7 times.

Yes I read in one of their corporate documents (forget which one) that the Directors were prepared to pay debt off when due in preference to remunerating themselves. I thought this a refreshing change from many of the worst AIM lifestyle companies.

David Ryan invested £30k recently. And although the others may not have "skin in the game", they have an enormous amount to gain because of their options if this goes north, so they certainly have incentive to make this work. Also, compared to some other AIM directors, their salaries are fairly modest, so if they aspire to getting rich it won't be by means of life-style placings but it can only be by making a go of the business.

dsb - but that is the point here isn't it? The Directors DON'T have skin in the game.Long term chart looks fairly beefy though. From what Nobby said they listed several years too early.....

I had a top up today, nothing that would hurt too much if I never saw it again but if this comes off then it will be a nice amount to hold.

Some years ago, I got talking to a guy who reckoned that hydrogen was the way forward. He was on about using it to power vehicles. It appears that he was right. I wonder if he is connected with this? Anyway, the world is drowning in waste and this could be the answer to the problem. The momentum is picking up. You can see from the long-term chart that there's a long way to go. It always helps when the directors have skin in the game so I thought it was worth a punt.

Good luck everyone.

Looks like there is either a leak, or a pump!

The quietness here is perhaps a sign the P+D merchants haven't arrived yet. Perhaps if they do, the price will go higher early next week.

Incidentally I must stress the CEO said the validation would be within 2 weeks. That was on Wednesday......

You can say that again! Number 2 on leaderboard - unfortunately usually attracts short term pump and dumpers.

1p would be a market cap of about £16 million. Of course the company is worth that if the technology is proved to work and is scaleable.....

Once validation is confirmed it would be reasonable for this to go north of 1p?

Well not quite, Bittorrent. You are quoting temperatures of 1,300F (700C) but the PHE gasification system operates at anything from 1,000C to 1,200C to 1,500C. Not F. Also, the gasification system is not burning anything, it is not the same as incineration.

Well they are already building coal-fired power stations operating at these temperatures, so why not adapt the technology?
"GE is already looking into what happens when you bring steam temperatures up to 1,300°F (700°C) − advanced ultra-supercritical technology (AUSC) − which could achieve coal-fired efficiencies as high as 50%. Such high pressures and temperatures will require power plant designers to employ more advanced nickel or nickel-iron super-alloys, as well as overcome fabrication and welding challenges.

In 2014, Alstom and Southern Company announced a milestone in the development of AUSC, with steam loop temperatures maintained at 760°C for 17,000 hours at Plant Barry Unit 4 in Alabama, US."
