Cranfield University has identified over 800 UK landfill sites where it thinks plastic could be 'mined' for conversion to fuel oil. It looks dubious to me as it would ultimately still involve burning the fuel in vehicle engines, so creating greenhouse gasses and other atmospheric pollution. However, not mentioned is the potential for PHE to use old landfill sites for additional sources of plastic for their much cleaner hydrogen fuel production. There must be tens of thousands of suitable landfill sites world wide and its something PHE should definately look into imo.

On this morning BBC news program there was a feature on turning plastic waste into energy. I only saw the last minutes and no company name was mentioned but the feature was a clip from a show to be shown on Monday 7.30 or 8.30.
It will be interesting !

Even conventional incinerators using combustion do not explode because they have inbuilt design robustness and safety systems. It's a non issue. Forget and move on.

I believe there is no danger of explosion. Well, the G3 operating at Thornton Park hasn’t exploded Yet!

Look back to one of the last postings by bobbyb4, before he disappeared. It was explained there.

They can fine tune the syngas to different compositions, including more or less hydrogen, but regardless of the syngas content, the unit could never explode because things like automated safety systems have to be built-in - to monitor, modify and shut down operation before it could ever reach that point. These are basic operating requirements and would have already been examined under HAZOP and HAZID studies.

Its a little known fact that in Japan they also use waste CO2 gas from some incineration to provide the fizz in fizzy drinks.

Free speech is not a legal right in the UK. Even in America, where it is constitutionally protected, there are caveats, such as inciting of violence, or libel and slander for instance. That being said, I don't know what the posts said.

PHE have made a number of regulated news announcements this year referring to progression of a relationship with Toyota. Any post implying the company are lieing will be deleted.

A friend reckons they are also talking to another big Japanese multi national in addition to Toyota and others. This could get very interesting very fast on news of further progress.

Still no response from anyone to assert that they can vouch having been present when the process plant actual fed energy to the grid continuously for several hours without interruption. I suspect that over the last twelve months there has been hydrogen and/or energy production in splutters and restarts many times on the same day - but that only hints at the universal dream, and KA's Trumpian PR story and is nowhere near sufficient for investors.
