19/9/2018 00:58 | One of the advantages of PHEs system is that individual systems can be used standalone (eg 25 tpd) or combined to whatever scale is needed (eg 4 x 25 tpd). | hottingup
18/9/2018 20:35 | As much as the TV show 'blue planet's caught the attention of the media and public !. To most people who walk along the side of a road or along the beach knew that plastic waste was a problem. We just did not have a voice. Regards. | tenapen

16/9/2018 17:22 | Tell Sid 16 Sep '18 - 11:38 - 7618 of 7620 0 1 0 Cranfield University has identified over 800 UK landfill sites where it thinks plastic could be 'mined' for conversion to fuel oil. It looks dubious to me as it would ultimately still involve burning the fuel in vehicle engines, so creating greenhouse gasses and other atmospheric pollution. However, not mentioned is the potential for PHE to use old landfill sites for additional sources of plastic for their much cleaner hydrogen fuel production. There must be tens of thousands of suitable landfill sites world wide and its something PHE should definately look into imo. BBC iPlayer - fast foward the show to 07.19 PHE do NOT get a mention in the clip. The show is Called, Inside Out on Monday evening. | tenapen
16/9/2018 13:19 | The key point is that from a market capitalisation of just £5m, the potential upside is enormous. | tewkesbury
16/9/2018 13:15 | Short term I think they should stay focused on the things they already have lined up, like vehicle tyres and autoshredder plastics. | tewkesbury

16/9/2018 09:51 | On this morning BBC news program there was a feature on turning plastic waste into energy. I only saw the last minutes and no company name was mentioned but the feature was a clip from a show to be shown on Monday 7.30 or 8.30. It will be interesting ! | tenapen
15/9/2018 15:03 | Even conventional incinerators using combustion do not explode because they have inbuilt design robustness and safety systems. It's a non issue. Forget and move on. | tewkesbury
15/9/2018 14:46 | I believe there is no danger of explosion. Well, the G3 operating at Thornton Park hasn’t exploded Yet! Look back to one of the last postings by bobbyb4, before he disappeared. It was explained there. | vatnabrekk
15/9/2018 13:58 | They can fine tune the syngas to different compositions, including more or less hydrogen, but regardless of the syngas content, the unit could never explode because things like automated safety systems have to be built-in - to monitor, modify and shut down operation before it could ever reach that point. These are basic operating requirements and would have already been examined under HAZOP and HAZID studies. | tewkesbury
15/9/2018 09:12 | Its a little known fact that in Japan they also use waste CO2 gas from some incineration to provide the fizz in fizzy drinks. | hottingup
14/9/2018 20:05 | Free speech is not a legal right in the UK. Even in America, where it is constitutionally protected, there are caveats, such as inciting of violence, or libel and slander for instance. That being said, I don't know what the posts said. | cmackay
