And how do you think the Ukrainian economy looks? Or Ukraine for that matter. The best hope is that the flow of aid to Ukraine slows, Zellinsky recognises that the Ukrainians don't want to suffer huge casualties indefinitely (or if he can't bring himself to see sense, that he is assassinated or deposed) and that we have a sensible peace with Russia retaining Crimea and the Russian speaking parts of Ukraine. Ukraine will have a horrible few decades ahead, because if the US is losing its enthusiasm for funding war with Russia it certainly won't find any enthusiasm for propping up Ukraine in time of peace. The tragedy is that such terms would have been good enough to avoid the war, and the death and destruction, and make the region much more stable. In 5 years time the Russian forces will also be much more formidable than had there been no war. a couple of years fighting teaches the military a lot.
