12/2/2019 07:49 | CSFB say down 25% | technovator
12/2/2019 07:49 | According to Stocko, FY2019 profit forecast is already 27% below FY2018. So does todays profit warning mean it is going to be materially below that as well? 10 to 20% below that makes FY2019 forecast 37 to 47% below FY2018? Not sure. | ramridge
12/2/2019 07:43 | More than likely, 1200 - 1400 range / FY19 Profit Estimates currently $266M (WebFG) | hatfullofsky
12/2/2019 07:40 | I am sorry to say that according to market commentary they are calling Plus markets down 25% this morning | technovator
12/2/2019 07:35 | Yes gents. Hands up I skimmed it and initially missed it. Balls | pauliewonder
12/2/2019 07:17 | Is it?`@pauliewonder | nurdin
12/2/2019 07:16 | Not sure I agree Paulie.... "Following our latest assessment of the impact of the ESMA regulatory measures, FY19 revenue is expected to be lower than current market expectations. This, combined with our intention to maintain our marketing spend, is likely to result in 2019 profit being materially lower than current market expectations;" To be honest I didn't see this coming, the revenue/profit forecasts for FY19 are already relatively low. | foolishben
12/2/2019 07:15 | 2019 profit being materially lower than current market expectations; oh dear! | technovator
12/2/2019 07:11 | Wow. That's a fantastic rns. | pauliewonder
12/2/2019 06:04 | I am slightly concerned over the way Plus usually print cautious words about the future. I was going to add yesterday and chose not to. I am hoping to pick up a few more over the coming days however I do wish you all luck. | davebdavid
12/2/2019 05:47 | Hoping for bonnes nouvelles this morning ;-) | sogoesit

11/2/2019 22:11 | Merci. Hopefully we won't be living on a prayer tomorrow. | s_a_b
11/2/2019 21:34 | *Bonne Chance Your friendly French translator here. "Chance" is feminine in French so adjectives that qualify it must agree in gender with it. Some examples of French phrases with "Bon/Bonne" that may be used by English speakers: Bonne chance Bon courage Bon voyage Bonne année Bon appétit Bonne nuit Bon Jovi Cheers | mryl
11/2/2019 20:19 | Several posters have made this point but will be very interested to read comments on YTD trading and outlook. They were very cautious when announcing H1 but I have some sympathy with that due to ESMA landing over the summer. Management may also have known that the founders and PTEC were considering selling and wouldn't have wanted to be accused of ramping the share price beforehand. Hoping for a more balanced approach tomorrow. GLA | s_a_b
11/2/2019 19:49 | In Liberum's note of 27 Dec 2018 they revised their Q4 Revenue target to $145m and profit before tax to $100m - assume profit after tax of $77m. This makes their profit after tax projection of $293m in 2019 look eminently achievable. If Liberum are correct we should be looking for Revenues of $711m, PBT of $495m, Net profit of @ $380m, EPS of $3.35 and a final divided of $1.64 per share making a total of $3.02 for the year. If we ignore Canaccord, who I believe haven't updated their forecasts for the recent TU, the other brokers have similar revenue figures so I presume the rest are similar. Bon Chance | podgyted
11/2/2019 18:42 | Yes $261.7m net income in H1 | s_a_b
11/2/2019 18:17 | Metis20 Didn’t they already do $260 million in the first half? Have seen estimates of $380 million full year declining to $240 million for next year | rhatton
11/2/2019 17:57 | For discussion - Around date of prelims in Feb 2018 the share price was 1200p and the FY 2017 profit was US$199m – P/E of about 9.5 Looking at the 2018 Q3 results and Q4 estimates, (profit $38.5 + $63.5) PLUS will be lucky to exceed US$250m net profit in 2019? Hoping for significantly more than $63.5 net profit for Q4 in tomorrow's results. Also, P/E may well be significantly higher than 9.5 by the time Feb 2020 comes round because PLUS has moved from AIM to FTSE250... | metis20

11/2/2019 17:29 | Let me help you out. CMC Markets - Ennismore has recently reduced its short position from 0.56% to 0.49%. They are now below the 0.5% threshold for public disclosure so in theory can close their short to 0% when they want without further public disclosure. It could be tomorrow, next week, who knows, they can even decide to increase their short above 0.5% but that then becomes notifiable for public disclosure. Plus500 - Highline had a short position of 0.86% and they reduced it by 0.86%. They did not reduce it to 0.45%, or 0.40% or any other percentage figure greater than zero. 0.86% - 0.86% = 0%. | elcapital2019 |
