so first plus500 directors get big salary hikes then deliver this update and a 30% thrashing of the stock price. Decrease their salaries by 30%!

Looks like our friends over the pond have had their morning cuppa/trading meetings and are now buying.

We won't know if hedge funds have taken profits for a few days but I expect some/most will have reduced today.

Minerve "I personally have never had a position here"

So why post ? If you've got nothing to say, say nothing

I'm expecting some Director interest at this price. Michael Fairbairn is the one to watch out for!

A good question that has been asked before (insider trading on company buybacks), but try prosecuting someone for something they didn’t do. There was no specified timetable or target, so it’s down to mindreading!

But it adds further to the uncertainty and so to the risk premium required. Well, it certainly got part of that this morning!

1) Purchased a chunk this morning. Sold for a tidy profit.
2) Re-invested the profit into long-term PLUS holding

Step 1) was clever. Time will tell if step 2) was too ;)

It was strange that they did the buybacks...but i suppose they would be trading on inside info if they stated something they were going to , and then didnt because they knew what they were going to say

Why do you all take it so personally? There’s intellectual risk in everything - those who do not see that are bound to underperform.

I lost today - so what? I manage my risk and I am 0.3% poorer today than I was yesterday, if that.

Consider this - Highline eliminated their short at just the wrong time, and, as previously stated, they are no fools. Perhaps they deemed PLUS “unanalysable” and in that, it may have been a smart move. What we think we know is subject to uncertainty, and saying that it’s cheap or still expensive today after a 500p fall is likely as uncertain as it was yesterday.

This trading statement does not cut it for me, especially when considering the company share purchases at an average of 1400p or so.

There is more to say, but I will allow a few clouds to pass by first!

Will be interesting to see if the owners offload remaining shares they hold. Am I right in thinking they still have some?
The business spending money on ads and transforming to meet the current trading climate should work well for the long term. Still a good stock imo

Zicopele you would be wise taking tips off someone else. Elc closed his imaginary short a while ago.

Elc, part of your problem is that you don't read and you don't remember. I was very tempted to jump back in yesterday (read my post from yesterday) but I was concerned that Plus would be overly cautious like they usually are even if the results were good. I was part right and I did not jump back in so I am very happy thanks.
Buying in at 12 selling just over 18 and then keeping out for a while as served me well. My mistake was not buying in at 12 again and selling over 16. All of this happening while you concentrate on slagging people off.
I won't bore you with what I did this morning but I am please with my first year trading.
