08/12/2015 09:20 | SJ - as you know, I am Bullish on PLUS. However, I wouldn't take too much notice of JPM, who use the shares for all sorts of nefarious activities....... | ![]() pbutterworth1
08/12/2015 08:33 | JP Morgan increase holdings by 3% to 10% And FCA status - now looks clean to me! | ![]() sailing john
04/12/2015 16:50 | Something to ponder over the weekend And re: hpcg 10324 A conspiracy theory is one that lacks facts and is full of supposition. To test the investment case on PLUS500, Using the principle of simplicity, in that among competing hypotheses, the one with the fewest assumptions should be selected. It gets narrowed down to the simplest question Which is: is CfD trading a casino? The FCA have answered that with an emphatic NO. Therefore to single out PLUS500 as being special would be lunacy. But the CfD is still a problem. I have explained this all quite clearly in posts 9281 and 9296 | liquidkid
04/12/2015 15:13 | LK - that does sound like a crazy idea. The justification provided seems perfectly reasonable to me.. | ![]() hpcg
04/12/2015 15:11 | That was said a few days ago by Leap rate, you are well behind the curve as usual For the record, that has to be one very stupid conspiracy theory! | ![]() elcapital
04/12/2015 14:10 | Here's some ideas for the Crazies Actual Short postitutions November vs FCA Notified Daily Stand out is; PLUS 500 at 6.86% vs 0.5% Declared. 'Here’s a crazy theory: Plus500 shareholders were the ones who lobbied the UK financial regulator FCA to not approve the company’s takeover. It is not inconceivable at all that Plus500 shares could return to the lofty £7-8 level they traded at before. ' from leaprate.com Who has influence with the FCA? - Odey & JP Morgan. | liquidkid
03/12/2015 23:24 | freddie - it isn't like IG, City Index, Capital Spreads etc. It takes all the risk and hedges nothing. This is in the IPO prospectus. It relies on attracting naive punters who don't know what they are doing, the risk they are running or anything. The pool of those people is limited, hence the enormous marketing spend. It is not sustainable as a business. Regulatory risks are enormous. | ![]() hpcg
03/12/2015 17:03 | Oh no, Im not filtered by someone I have never posted to? I am not going to be nice to people who attack me. slipperysidewinder and I have a history, he is ex HMRC and threatened to have the Inland revenue investigate me because I was the only bear in town when these were 700 plus. He has called me all sorts of names too, which is water off a ducks back. That POS was of course barking up the wrong tree with his threats, given I live in Spain and have done for 11 years!! | ![]() elcapital
03/12/2015 16:55 | I have filtered Elcapital. This company is like others who do CFDs and spread betting, it is if properly run a highly lucrative business to be in, IG Index being anther one. Not sure what ELcapitals game is but I am ignoring him, he does not seem very polite. | ![]() freddie ferret
03/12/2015 16:51 | I agree hpcg. I never jump in in one go, and will enter in full over a few trades. This could pop at any time though | ![]() elcapital
03/12/2015 16:49 | ELcapital - way too soon to short. The company is immoral and eats its own customers (unlike the other bookies with fixed odds where losses cannot exceed the stake) so will ultimately fail. Going against this momentum does not make sense. I almost went long this morning. | ![]() hpcg
03/12/2015 13:45 | Well the time has come. To me this is massively over valued, and I still think there is bad news to come. I believe this is a great short at these levels, higher than I thought I could enter at | ![]() elcapital |
