10/7/2015 15:26 | Dont know BWNG, but it looks like it wasnt given the current share price. I havent looked, but I think a move into ptec would have been better Tu tambien. Casi la hora para unas cervezas | ![]() elcapital
10/7/2015 15:23 | ElCap - in your view was it a clever move to have sold PLUS on June, 18 to buy BWNG?Tenga un buen fin de semana. | macarre
10/7/2015 13:43 | Indeed they might :) | ![]() elcapital
10/7/2015 13:37 | Writz - I see the 400p as reassurance to investors. It the deal falls through this will get taken away. It is up to investors then to decide whether it is worth to park their money here or sell and move on (in which case share price may suffer for some time). Not a holder at the moment but believe PLUS is worth north of 700p. Others may disagree though. | macarre
10/7/2015 12:21 | I think they know they have it, or they would be on the bid in the market place | ![]() elcapital
10/7/2015 12:13 | 18th June RNS Playtec 9.36% If Playtec now, say, hold 10%, the percentage of the remaining shares – those eligible for the Plus500 vote on 16th July – goes up from 35.6% (1st June RNS directors holding) to 39.5% - some way short of the 50% needed for a “yes” vote. | 43rick
10/7/2015 11:47 | The share pruchase ptec made of I think it was around eight per cent probably is the game changer. Apparently under israeli law these can not be voted to get over fifty percent, but they then reduce the size of the playing field by taking those shares out of the equation. Along with the directors already voting for it, they will, I believe, already be very close to the fifty percent they require. | ![]() elcapital
10/7/2015 11:36 | Clarification: the question is whether PLUS shareholders accept or reject the bid. If they reject it the only plausible reason is that they feel 400p is too cheap. | writz
10/7/2015 11:06 | You dont think the shares would fall if they pulled out of the bid? It will depend on what they say the reason is, but it will fall if they do | ![]() elcapital
10/7/2015 11:02 | macarre, his last sentence implies he foresees a risk that the price will fall if the bid is refused. I don't agree, but wonder how he reached that decision (not to go long). | writz
10/7/2015 10:53 | I have no position in this. I agree that one would have thought if there were some skeletons they would be out in the open now. I suppose holding is a shot to nothing with a small uplift at four hundred, and a very small chance of a higher offer, but I cant see it myself | ![]() elcapital
10/7/2015 10:01 | He says 'the bid could fall through' if shareholders vote against it, due to the offer being too low. Not because it is generous. | macarre
10/7/2015 07:25 | His last sentence seems to assume that the bid price is generous to PLUS. | writz
09/7/2015 19:11 | From Paul Scott's blog. He is closing his short on PLUS, and said that 'risk:reward seems to be moving in favour of the bulls'. I'm not back in yet but sense that the good times may be just around the corner. If there was something dodgy about this company it would have already emerged imo. "My general impression from reading this update is that this controversial CFD provider seems to be getting back on track, after the serious regulatory problems which it ran into earlier this year. Although risks persist, as the company today says, "The Plus500 Group continues to be the subject of a high level of regulatory scrutiny". My opinion - it seems to me that the disaster scenario predicted by bears is now receding, so the 400p agreed takeover bid (which the company describes as a merger today!) seems likely to go through now. There's also the possibility that the bid might be improved, with a higher price. For these reasons, I thought it best to close my short position on this share this morning, as risk:reward seems to be moving in favour of the bulls. Of course, there is still a risk that the 400p takeover bid might fall through, so it's not a share I would want to be long of either." - See more at: | macarre
07/7/2015 18:39 | Goldie - I too have voted no - through Interactive Investor corporate actions. GLA those who are long! Are you able to instruct your broker to vote by proxy on your behalf? - if so you will presumably not be receiving 'voting details'. Apologies if I am saying what may be very obvious to a seasoned campaigner. | 43rick
07/7/2015 17:22 | No one properly know the effects of the FCA investigation. All we do know is that it will have been affected. So to say any price is too low, it just a guess. I really can not see any other result than a takeover at the current offer price. | ![]() elcapital
07/7/2015 17:17 | Goldie - I have voted no already through HL corporate actions. No its not suspect !! - but a deal at 400p most certainly is. The Vix volatility index is rising all the time and is now up to levels last seen in February. PLUS will be making a lot of money, and I want some of the action. Yours, an angry shareholder. | ![]() pbutterworth1
07/7/2015 16:56 | STILL HAVE NOT GOT MY VOTING DETAILS NOR HAVE TWO OF MY FRIENDS WHATS GOING ON ANY ONE ELSE IN THE SAME BOAT GETS MORE SUSPECT BY THE DAY | ![]() goldie40
07/7/2015 13:56 | Liquidkid - yes this is indeed getting more and more surreal. Just how much money is PLUS making in the current Greek Crisis ????? - Answer = Lots. And yes I am big (for me) and long and will be at the EGM asking some really difficult questions like why are we being shafted at 400p | ![]() pbutterworth1
07/7/2015 08:35 | I am going out now, so will look later. Seems Paul Scott isnt the only person questioning the debt position www.shareprophets.co | ![]() elcapital
07/7/2015 08:28 | I will take a look later, I saw they are in Greece, which could be either OK or very bad. | ![]() elcapital
07/7/2015 08:21 | Paulypilot came close to saying it is a scam. They claim to have loads of cash but are paying millions in loans interest. | macarre
07/7/2015 07:47 | Morning Not one I follow, but I think it is one that TW likes to bash every now and again | ![]() elcapital
