As much as I like Boris and believe he was nobbled unfairly by his opponents; he had his shot and fell short. He should have seen what he was fighting and been more ruthless and strident. It’s just not in him to be the leader that we need. Too late Boris… sorry!

I think that's the problem that the Tories can't really spot! The cure to their electoral success and the reason they are the most successful political party in the world was because they were Tory.
