In terms of hair product, I favour this dust stuff that provides decent ‘hold’

#7783,

It's either that or shave the lot off and end up looking like Grant Mitchell orf of Eastenders, gra, but I expect Mikey is the expert on 'product' and will advise in due course.

#7775,

She did (hence the time thing noted) but I've learned from bitter experience that it's pointless to challenge these things and £80 is worth it to avoid the hassle and inevitable refusal, which I presume is what they bank on. The ultimate experience was when my son moved to his flat a couple of years ago (notorious borough of Lambeth) where 1) we (well, I) paid about £250 to keep 4 spaces clear for the removals lorry, 2) they failed to keep the spaces clear and we couldn't raise a warden on the 'helpline', 3) they then ticketed the 4 cars occupying the spaces we paid for and 4) when some cars moved and the lorry got onto the spaces, they ticketed that too!

I'd appreciate some advice.

Should I get some sort of hair preparation, pomade perhaps, and start slicking my hair back, as old men do?

Hardly a surprise gra’ with the high concentration of soap dodgers encountered nowadays.

I used to like HMV, too. Most of what I bought there is long binned.

As to Boots, I wish it was more like it used to be. They have a very poor selection of soaps.

#7771 Did she also 'brief you' on all the lines of attack that she expected you to take (on her behalf).*

Just about to take Mr L into teh vitnary for his annual MOT and boosters. The bill normally makes the river cafe look like a greasy spoon in comparison. Wish us luck.

Addendum to #7719,

The traffic restriction only operates from 0700-1000h. 'Offence' committed at 9.58. FFS! Mrs J is not happy but she has given it to me to deal with*.

Aye, in the same way that Sky movies and Netflix bust Blockbuster all those years ago.

A shame, as I passed many a happy hour looking at the videos and then DVDs, but time and tech march on.

#7766 - have you been into HMV recently? That place must be on life-support now. Same with Argos - absolutely dead. I used to love buying DVDs / Blu-rays, but those times are past - that's Amazon and streaming for you...
