Phoenix Takeover Rumours (PHNX)

I wonder if this will be a takeover target. At some point someone is going to see value here with a change of owner & management.

Your moral high ethics are on shaky ground .Hundreds of years ago we Brits and for that matter envious other Europeans sailed over in large boats to their countries or continents and decided to takeover everything, started the commonwealth whether the locals wanted or not.History is a wonderful thing .If everyone stayed put in their own space then we wouldn't have this pension fraud.

It's far too cheap - simple as that. Would still be yielding over 7.5% at 700p! And it's a solid, progressive divi too. Still an absolute bargain at these levels.

The FT mentioned JUST as a possible takeover Bite sized and more pure play I suspect Suspect Brookfield given their infra investment capability’s will be putting the hard sell into the government

Without a company statement, half-yearly or end of year accounts, a takeover bid, a director buy or sell, or an investigation by the Pensions Regulator, Financial Conduct Authority or the London Stock Exchange there's little affecting LGEN other than, well, ...... politics. BofE rate setting tomorrow but as they've never changed the rate in an election period since they gained political independence I doubt anything enlightening will arise from their meet. Inflation figures may lend a hint as to the likely direction of base rates in August or September. So, as scruff says, it's largely a waiting game. New Balls please. ;-)
