If you bothered to run the model instead of believing everything PANR put on paper you might have a better idea of what I am referring to You see soon enough. Fozzle a whole load of traders will have jumped aboard after reading the RNS and then once it hit 20% they jumped out again. Once this news hits the right people and given a good webinare this evening this should start a nice steady rise. This should also help with a JV as people realise this shows that the area we have can produce oil, all 18Bn barrels will come into play.

FWIW I am advised that the level of gas production is hugely problematic for them. Because (a) they won't be able to transport it via TAPS (Trans Alaska Pipeline System) , and (b) they're unlikely to get permission to permanently flare the sorts of quantities that they are producing. Hence, even if they clean up the well, the hydrocarbon mix could mean it's game over.

So it is possible that the results may have materially altered the "potential of Alkaid 2".

Perhaps Cheatham will answer questions on that topic tomorrow?

Nevertheless, stockbroker WH Ireland was quick to point to both the large scope and potential strategic significance of Pantheon’s Alaskan projects given present geo and petropolitics.

“We believe that the assets of Pantheon Resources represent a potential means of decreasing reliance on Russian oil in a manner that conforms to the highest standards of ESG,” WH Ireland analyst Brandan Long said.

“We note that as the world awakens to the reality that crude oil is the lifeblood of the modern economy there is a scarcity of high-quality, large scale oil development projects.

“As such, we believe assets such as the Lower Basin Floor Fan, amongst other large-scale assets held by Pantheon Resources, have potential to be of vital strategic importance.”

Focussing on the latest well result, Long added: “We believe the result vindicates our long-term belief in the potential of the largest elephant in Pantheon Resources’ stable, the Lower Basin Floor Fan of the Theta West Structure.

“The result is unambiguously positive in our opinion – it substantially de-risks the potential of the resource.

Two main points amoung some smaller points for me 1. They have modelled commercially of Alkaid without accounting for any drop in flow rates which is utterly ridiculous given what we know about drop off rates in Alaska 2. The new modelling completion costs now stating a 50% uplift to $19.5m per well!! Aside from that is nothing but maybes and estimates and potentials in the wording. And LOL at the IRR. I am guessing at $58 it is a total dud. Ridiculous market cap given the NPV and risk here and money that needs to be pumped into this project. Rather buy ten year bills

Hope for the longs they're right but just sounds like we all got together decided not to panic and had best guess.
