Still comes back to this for me. We are about to test the most significant well I have ever seen

Theta West #1 - Total depth reached. Planning to flow test.

Pantheon confirms that Theta West #1 has reached total depth ("TD") at 8,450 feet having drilled through both the Upper Basin Floor Fan ("UBFF") and Lower Basin Floor Fan ("LBFF") target horizons, which are Brookian age, and having encountered approximately 1,160 gross feet of hydrocarbon bearing reservoir across both horizons combined. Data received so far indicates the reservoir quality is superior to Talitha #A, with high quality light oil encountered across the entire section. The Company is now preparing to set casing prior to flow testing within both horizons over the coming weeks.

The UBFF was encountered between 6,800 and 7,000 feet, and the LBFF was encountered between 7,450 feet and 8,410 feet depth. The top of the UBFF is located approximately 150 feet higher than pre-drill estimates. Well bore conditions in the shallower sections above the primary objective, combined with the extremely cold weather, have prevented the Company from conducting wireline operations in the open hole. However, the Company undertook Logging While Drilling ("LWD") operations which included resistivity, gamma ray, neutron density, formation density along with gas chromatography readings during drilling which has provided excellent quality data, indicating the presence of hydrocarbons in the targeted horizons some 1,500 feet structurally higher (updip) from the Talitha #A well, 10.5 miles to the southeast. Samples analysed to date by AHS/Baker Hughes, which have been contracted to undertake Volatiles Analyses ("VAS"), has also confirmed the presence of light oil within the UBFF and the top portion of the LBFF, consistent with the LWD data. AHS/Baker Hughes is yet to complete analysis of the lower portion of the LBFF.

It was 19th April last year when we were told that ops had been concluded at Talitha. So plenty of time.

Possibly 8 more trading sessions till company changing news. Weather is looking a lot more manageable for the next 10 days, so hopefully testing is now underway and they may in the next few days start to reveal the giant fields massive potential.Last bit of patience left, till the story starts to get really interesting

I too would like to add my thanks to EnergyHobbs and just add that I note in the recent RNS Jay Cheatham says “the next well in our programme is an Alkaid appraisal/production Well this summer where we will get another look at the SMD……230;…”.

The foregoing comment seems to suggest that all is indeed not lost so far as the SMD is concerned.

dhb368, PANR is currently a spin of the dice on the lower BFF at Theta West. I think the dice are heavily loaded and await the result of my spin.

ngms - I personally attribute NO VALUE at present to:
1) Lower BFF @ Theta West though I'm expecting the best result yet
2) Upper BFF @ Theta West - Not expecting time to test this year
3) SMD likely won't be tested to next year and must carry a good risk of failure
4) Kuparuk

That simply CANNOT be true unless you have sold out?

Only a fool would hold onto PANR at these levels based upon potential at Alkaid, BFF lower @ Talitha & SFS @ Talitha only.

So to me the valuation of PANR is totally on successfully flow tested zones so I have:
1) Alkaid anomaly
2) BFF lower @ Talitha
3) SFS @ Talitha

I personally attribute no value at present to:
1) Lower BFF @ Theta West though I'm expecting the best result yet
2) Upper BFF @ Theta West - Not expecting time to test this year
3) SMD likely won't be tested to next year and must carry a good risk of failure
4) Kuparuk

There is a pretty big argument that we haven't yet had credit for SFS amazing how this is being ignored in current discussions. We will no doubt get management estimates for this near term IMHO

So after posting the 4 reasons, you don’t actually think it’s anything other than an operational issue, with value being proven next year.

Shouldn’t really have been that hard for you to write that in the first place should it? Hopefully nobody was misled (Forwood, johnswan?). Anyway, thanks for clarifying.

Shelf Margin Deltaic is currently blocked but they already know from the VAS it exends from Alkaid to Talitha

Write it off if you like but quite frankly that is idiotic. SMD will be worth several $b

Well you have certainly thrown your net wide this time ngms. Is it not fair to say that if any of those reasons were true then the board would not be stating their enthusiasm for SMD is undiminished?
Note you have chucked in a won’t get Upper BFF tested for good measure. BINGO full house.
