Why would they repay in cash? They are not earning cash, so until that happens or until they do a placing to take out the CB everybody should expect repayment in shares. Another reason might be if operational costs were to come in materially less than expected, however that's highly unlikely given the delays and remedial work.

I thought that there was a chance that the first repayment might be in cash if everything went well, but I suppose after the mishap at Talitha SMD-B they are looking towards securing resources for the 'Alkaid 3' well.

The run up to November could be very significant for PANR with all of the focus on energy independence, high oil prices,(hopefully) proven oil at TW, production from Alkaid and SMD at Alkaid 2 and 3

Morning all on this fine day with one less day to wait for TW testing results........

Are we expecting satellite pictures of any flaring, as we did from Talitha, this time and if so how long into the test do the 'drilling experts' expect to see evidence of a flare?

Good morning Telemachus. Firstly, many thanks for your earlier post, which I voted up with my 4 remaining PlusOnecoins.

If I may, could I please request your thoughts on this article (link attached to the end of this post) on the applications of micro-proppants in the enhancement of oil and gas production?

I wonder whether the conclusion of the article could provide a solution for the SMD-B issue.

This scientific article states that proppant embedment occurs when the formation rock is considerably softer than the proppant. Under high compressive stress, the proppant penetrates into the fracture faces during the pressure depletion (3-day period owing to the Blizzard ?) resulting in a decrease in fracture width. Consequently, high conductivity loss is induced in relatively soft formation.

The article goes on to state that there is a close relation between the amount of proppant embedment and the given rock stiffness and stress which, in turn, is influenced by the mineral content, chiefly the type and quantity of clay minerals within the rock mass. For strong shale specimens, shallower proppant embedment was observed; however deeper proppant embedment was achieved for shales with the elastic modulus less than 6.89 GPa.

This review concludes that using micro-proppants can improve the efficiency of the hydraulic fracturing treatment, leading to enhanced oil and gas production.

Scot,It is the fact that you have to correct by putting specific dates on something... when I clearly left specific dates out of my post, based on the fact I was posting without direct access to historical notes & RNS's At the time of the merger I got a very clear understanding that GB would have liked to drill Winx if they could.. That's all I will say. GLA C

Hi Chris0805 - I'm not 100% sure GB/PANR had the appetite to go it alone with Winx in 2019. Are you?

As for upbraiding me for the two sentences in post #24031 addressing your post #24028, I honestly have no idea what you're on about. You must be reading a different post in another dimension if you think the following is "finding fault".

"Chris0805 - delighted to be corrected but I seem to remember Farallon bought the BoAML corporate debt in GB sometime in 2015/16? The exploration tax credit repayment moratorium was announced in October '15 by the Alaskan Governor."

Having re-read it 3 or 4 times, I truly have no idea what you're talking about. Are you joking and I haven't understood? Holy guacamole.

Scot... without the SoA tax credit situation & eventual Farallon funding to GB ( without putting exact dates on it ) then GB would have likely drilled Winx that season....My post doesn't put a date on it, just saying it is in the same period of GB history. That was my understanding in any event... That was the point I was making & adding the fact that GB had much financial input into Winx ( license & seismic), prior to the free carry 10% ( with option to increase to 20% WI for their share of the fees..). Why you have to find fault with every poster, is beyond me. I and ( I guess) pretty much every other poster on here value greatly the time & effort you put in on behalf of the PANR cause. Please leave it at that rather than dining fault with every post

I don't understand your point, gozo? From memory PANR had a 10% W.I. in Winx with the option to move to 20% on success. It's not a "free ride" if, in the course of farming down as PANR did, you negotiate terms which see you continue to hold a W.I.

Your point makes no sense IMHO. PANR (plus eSeis + Otto) owns 100% of the working interest of Alkaid/Talitha/Theta West. 88E doesn't have any percentage W.I. of PANR's acreage.

I fear you're mixing up "free carry" which PANR negotiated when farming down Winx and the proverbial PR 'free ride' 88E is enjoying off the back of PANR's investment and data collection.

Chris0805 - delighted to be corrected but I seem to remember Farallon bought the BoAML corporate debt in GB sometime in 2015/16? The exploration tax credit repayment moratorium was announced in October '15 by the Alaskan Governor.

With the US stopping Russian imports of O&G and Europe and UK looking to the US and Middle East to fulfill the gap over the next 9 months this could be good news for PANR sitting on perhaps one of the largest oil fields in North America.

GB owned the Winx acreage ( western blocks, I think they termed it?), pre the merger with PANR. From memory it had to be drilled that season due to license requirements and GB, due to the state tax credit situation did not have funds to carry out the works. This must have been around the time where the Farallon situation came to be for GB. 88E & RMP ( Red Emperor??) essentially farmed in covering the drill costs & newly merged PANR / GB had a 10 WI *Free Carry*, with a right to increase to 20% WI on a success case, subject to payment of their share of costs... So hardly a free ride given that GB had secured the leases & done the seismic... GLA C

Scott appreciate your post.If my memory serves me correctly PANR had a free ride on the back of the Winx well. They owned the acreage I seem to recall and 88 were operator.Don't think it's all been totally one way as you suggest.Over and out not going to get into a bun fight over it
