Got to sell half of what I have left this year. I'll settle for $28 at this exchange rate. If it goes up and holds for next year just a bonus for me. If it goes down next year at least I will have made the most of this year. My cup is half full either way.

Black Opal is Australia’s national gemstone, and black opal is the rarest and most valuable of its kind, at times selling at prices that rival the best diamonds. Would like to squeeze 10% more from these but lack of a dividend is making holding onto this a dead investment. The two thirds I got rid of at about $28 were reinvested and generated about a 20-30% rise and an extra 5% divi. The odds of the dollar devaluing over next 6 months seems reasonably high to me so any gain made in 2nd half of year could be wiped out.

Two years after the takeover and I'm still winging on about fair value. One day Rodney.......

Using the old pre-merger formula, I think the current Arris price ($27.33) is equivalent to about £4.40 for Pace at £1=$1.2954.
