But surely, JAF, if RS had received price sensitive information from "our lawyers" he was obliged to pass it on to shareholders? Though he could have added that the "very near future" advice from "our lawyers" should be treated with the utmost caution! LOL.

Sorry, that's the problem with the english language. I don't think the lawyers KNEW they were erroneous at the time. They gave the dates in good faith to RS who then chose to put them in the public domain.

My own take is that the delay probably arises from the huge difficulty in identifying and calculating the losses fairly the subject of compensation.

Such factors may include the fall in the price if gold since the dispute began to arise, the fact that OXS might if these problems had not occurred, have sold some of its stake in some of the activities to a Chinese company; the OXS financial position at the time, the imprisonment of a key member of personnel, interest calculations eg rate(s)%, simple or compound? and of course we (or at least I) have little idea of what the Republic of Uzbekistan arguments may be.

Solicitors can be paid to take the blame and they and/or the co were too optimistic re the expected outcome time span.

However the reason for the delay since the arbitration concluded appears quite simply to be that the arbitrators are taking rather longer to decide and publish their outcomes/reasons than expected by OXS and their reps.

The longer the wait the more likely a +ve outcome

But JAF1948, if his "two bad errors of judgement on dates" were based on the advice of "our lawyers" what other "similar errors of judgement" have been made by our lawyers? RS may have made NO "Errors of judgement"; it could be that "our lawyers" have made the only "errors of judgement". Do you agree, JAF1948, that my hypothesis is just as valid as yours?

PS. Is 1948 your year of birth? I should have called myself papillon1945.

This is going to be interesting.. darwin have need to sell their monthly oxs holdings.. price has been drifting as we know. How many buyers are lurking willing to take up stock at 3.2p .. if those are exhausted .. why no demand so close to a result. still makes me believe nothing is known and we are still some time off a resolution. ros your 1st half 2016 looking more realistic by the day.

Just running this up the flagpole to give another point of view: many people on here praise what RS has done to keep the company running for the past 4 years. However, looking what he has actually done in public, his main contributions have been to commit two bad errors of judgement on dates. For all we know, he may have made similar errors of judgement to our lawyers which may or may not have had an influence on the case.

As I say, it's just an opinion.
