02/11/2023 08:55 | 37p to buy this morning. | battlebus2
01/11/2023 10:31 | Cheers, thought so | cwa1
01/11/2023 10:27 | Yep it’s a buy. | battlebus2
01/11/2023 10:02 | I reckon that 25,000 "sale" is actually a "buy" FWIW | cwa1
01/11/2023 09:55 | Not me Kpuss.! But someone selling 40,000 yesterday and another 25,000 sale today. Strange. Seeing as the 2p divi is only 7-8 weeks away! Small cap shares and general economy is suffering, it is time to sit on your hands and do nothing until 2024! | 97peter
31/10/2023 20:51 | I see no reason why trading should not be good;on the downside ORCH may not be able to pass on the full cost of the interest rate increase on its borrowings,on the upside it should be earning more on the substantial own funds that it is lending. Also we need to remember that car insurance policies have increased typically by around 20% per annum so even if it only books the same number of customers the amount lent will increase in line with increased policy costs. However it is possible with cash being in short supply for many there may be increased use of monthly payment for insurance which may benefit business. Obviously the fact that there is little interest in microcap shares from investors presently we are unlikely to get much interest in the shares in the near future & the fact that the company has to retain about two thirds of its net profits so its financial gearing remains at a modest level as business increases limits potential for dividend increase at the moment may not help matters. However I expect the company will be in good shape. | 1tx
31/10/2023 16:25 | Probably Peter! Price is what you pay, value is what you get. (only joking Peter) | konradpuss
31/10/2023 16:09 | Looks like someone did capitulate with that 40k sale. | battlebus2
31/10/2023 14:58 | Getting to the inflexion point whereby the value on offer is so good that the fear someone knows something you don’t outweighs the excitement of the opportunity. | florence141414
25/10/2023 14:25 | Davidosh that is what I was saying, Ravi is busy and doesn’t have time to deal with all shareholders that is why there is the IR webpages and contact. However he was happy to have 5-6 shareholders from here ADVFN and LSE bulletin boards to get answers to questions they hadn’t got from IR. Or from the Mello presentation. Like you said if there is no news why put out an RNS with no news? I think we need to wait until November for announcements on divi, AGM date and location etc. | 97peter
25/10/2023 12:20 | 97peter.....I think you can be assured that I am in contact with 50 times more directors than you and in almost all companies they have very minimal direct contact with individual shareholders whether by email or telephone. The Orchard Agm was at a ridiculous time of the year and if you are close to the company do tell how many shareholders were able to attend? One presentation is not sufficient and how many times does Ravi meet with institutions....None probably as We are too small so individual investors should be constantly in his mindset Why are you defending the situation here? | davidosh
25/10/2023 11:56 | Davidosh and GBcol and others, this is obviously not the share and company for you! You have all had the opportunity to be given Ravi’s personal company e-mail, different to what is on IR relations pages. Plus if you e-mail a CEO of any other company however small or large, they would on 95% of occasions be too busy to reply to hundreds of e-mails. They are running and growing the company. | 97peter
25/10/2023 00:34 | CEOs are not overwhelmed with shareholder enquiries and if they are then it is probably because they are not communicating to the wider market so individuals feel the need. | davidosh
24/10/2023 18:35 | GB, with the greatest respect. What is the best use of Ravi's time? Pandering to the likes of you and I or putting his all into growing the business successfully? I do think it rum that he did not reply to you. | konradpuss
24/10/2023 11:22 | 97peter because it saddens me that the lack of shareholder engagement from Ravi is a significant cause of the share price being where it is and for me losing money. You rattle on about the divi and the non stop buying opportunities, you e been banging the same drum for at least 18 months. Frankly, it’s for others to judge the merits of that. Also, Ravi never answered my emails, so you are wrong on that as well. The only way anyone has made any money here in the past was when they were urging others to buy when secretly selling (and not doing the required holding notifications incidentally). As I said, I only popped back here to see if anything has changed, which it hasn’t, so I’ll disappear again. The good news is that it’ll soon be December and Ravi won’t have any choice but to do an update. | gbcol
24/10/2023 10:43 | David, one could look at the big American banks that hold a huge amount of 'under water' bonds. What do they say, Oh no loss here if we hold to maturity! And who encouraged them to make the bond purchases? The Federal Reserve. | konradpuss
24/10/2023 10:35 | 97peter....I do not think you can be factually correct. The average loss on buying shares in Orchard has to be at least 15% per annum as the share price was £1.17 in 2015 and now 36p...this year alone I am losing 31% on my purchase price but will get a 3p dividend to compensate ie. only 20% of my loss on the capital provided. The dividend is only 3p every year so nobody investing here is getting 'large profits' from the dividend ?? To receive profit it is crucial to not incur capital losses. Those are huge here and for the communication to be so poor it is clearly frustrating some investors including me. One presentation is not enough and no trading updates in a whole year.. | davidosh
24/10/2023 10:02 | GBCol, why are you forever putting down ORCH and their CEO?? Especially as you are supposedly no longer invested? Plus some of us have made large profits with the dividend, plus now at a low can top up and await the upswing, once recession, Ukraine, energy prices and interest rates improve. Ravi has always answered E-mails , plus communication is done when needed and something to say! Or inform! | 97peter
24/10/2023 09:51 | Just like shoplifters. If you don't arrest, and jail them, they keep on shoplifting. | eeza
24/10/2023 08:45 | "Nobody who invested in this is in profit" yet. Ravi appears honest to me although folk feel uncommunicative. I would rather have uncommunicative, honest management that communicative dishonest management. Look at the likes of for instance Inland Plc | konradpuss
24/10/2023 08:32 | Konrad nobody invested in this is in profit, most are showing a substantial loss - that included me but I cut my losses because I don’t like how Ravi treats shareholders. I only popped here to see if I’d made another bad decision by selling too early, but I’m happy enough that I didn’t. DD - bonds were 6.25% for 5 year period, which is ok now but was great when I got them. I don’t know if they are tradeable, sorry. GLA | gbcol
22/10/2023 12:10 | What price are the bonds? Is there a market in them? | davidosh
22/10/2023 09:26 | GBCol, it all depends on your entry level. | konradpuss
18/10/2023 12:55 | Selling continues. | battlebus2 |
