05/4/2017 16:06 | Rage - the problem with most traders, they don't leave enough aside for when the trade moves against them and end up being forced sellers. 90+% LOSE money trading. Only the very experience with the ability to leave a lot of cash aside make money. As an example; I had £3k tied up covering my OPTI margin while the trade moved against me because I was not going to be stopped out. It ran at a loss for almost a year needing 72p to break even. £3k is a lot of money for the likes of me to have tied up. | elrico
05/4/2017 15:59 | I see Owens point of view. There needs to be clarity on when, how and how much OPTI shareholders can expect to benefit. We also need the ex special divi specie date. I would expect more details on this by the investor presentation; pure guesswork on my part. Because we have no definitive answer to these questions, it has created a lot of confusion, which has in all likelihood, caused a few shareholders to sell. Where Owen and I diverge, is the perception the special few are allowed to participate in the IPO and Why do OPTI PIs not rank pari-passu with other OPTI stakeholders? SBTX only needed c£4.1m (net) to see it through to anticipated commercialisation near the end of 2018, which means fewer shares required and therefore few participants = less dilution and of course, quicker and less costly. This has the effect of OPTI holding a larger slice of the SBTX which will eventually be paid out as a special divi specie, which will (I hope) be much more valuable. | elrico
05/4/2017 15:57 | "The directors believe that shareholder value could be maximised as existing shareholders may, in the event of a successful flotation of SkinBiotix, ultimately hold shares directly in both companies" Just a reminder of what was said 20 October. Well that's not the case is it, and it's no longer in their control to issue new shares in SBKT. | ![]() michaelmouse
05/4/2017 15:45 | Looking at long term chart price really hasn't moved for over a year.60p to £1 trading range. Money to be made trading?? | rage0270
05/4/2017 15:42 | Hi Elrico Hey, it's his baby... I'm still excited. The man's done what he promised. It's also reassuring that the folk that have posted about meeting him have all thought him very genuine, that's good enough for me. Plus I watched the videos on him, so he's passionate and he's in the key market area at mo, so I'm here for the long term. Good luck . Just going to place my bets for the national now... Bye for now | ![]() joyjoy13
05/4/2017 15:39 | The share price is middle of the range it has been operating in for a month now...ie before IPO. I fail to see owenmo's point. Skin has raised all the cash it needs, no more fund raising needed by Opti for any division, Opti balance sheet way healthier than ever, and the Opti share price is settling nicely around 80p (much higher than a few months ago). All seems well to me.. | portrush
05/4/2017 15:36 | Joy - I know what you mean, but it's Cathy at the helm not SOH. History will now demonstrate that SOH is not full of hollow words. He said he would split the OPTI into legal entities of their own, SBTX is of course the first. Unfortunately, there are some very shortsighted OPTI investors, some confused and some just want to lock in profits. Good luck to them. | elrico
05/4/2017 15:34 | Whatever shareholders are saying now, if you trawl back through the main thread then regular contributors were saying that shareholders would get 1 SBTX for every 1 OPTI share they held. They simply cannot do this now. | ![]() michaelmouse
05/4/2017 15:31 | Now that SBTX has a separate listing to OptiBiotix, I can't see any way that OptiBiotix shareholders can receive "a direct holding" in SBTX without buying shares directly in the market? It's no longer within OptiBiotix's control. Plain and simple. Frankly, I wouldn't want to hold shares in either company since both are loss making and barely revenue generating, but I do think that previous RNS statements have been misleading re: the "spin-off". Aimho of course. | ![]() michaelmouse
05/4/2017 15:29 | Ok, I've done it. A small punt in SBTX My reasoning for doing it today instead of waiting or not even buying.. Simply I had not maxed out on this year's ISA So...... I'm hoping that those that can only start buying in the new tax year will fill their boots and push this share price North tomorrow. Regardless, I'm in both now, happy to wait years if need be, this is my nest egg...quite timely for Easter ! I'm investing in the man , SOH, he's the one I'm putting my money on I'm happy to be on board. Never been in in an IPO day one before...quite exciting! Good luck all. | ![]() joyjoy13
05/4/2017 15:16 | Donr see any allocation in near future. | rage0270
05/4/2017 14:59 | I think it'll be a 'record period', of say, a month. And some 'month' in the future at that. M | ![]() marnewton
05/4/2017 14:54 | SBTX jam tomorrow???Why not allocate now??? | rage0270
05/4/2017 14:50 | Thanks mouse20, might well see you later this month ? | neftanikoff
05/4/2017 14:49 | How is that gonna work though? At some point in future you have 2 investors holding the same percentage of shares in opti and therefore the same percentage of the company. At least they think so. Are you saying that one investor that might have invested a few years ago will get something and the other won't? I find that very hard to believe. You can't do things like that white prior notice imo. You need to define some kind of ex div date in advance. Otherwise you're giving more parts of the company to shareholder a than to shareholder b despite them having the same amount of shares. Or am I missing something? | ![]() pulledpork
05/4/2017 14:38 | Great post nef. I too share the view that Opti shareholders will benefit from Opti's shareholding in sbtx based on the length of time shares in Opti have been held. When that time period starts or ends though I haven't a clue. | ![]() mouse20
05/4/2017 14:09 | I just don't see it is as dark a picture as perhaps you do at the moment. I know you may feel that perhaps we should see an immediate benefit after having converted to the SBTX shares and that OPTI has now divested in part. However, it is likely that we will benefit in kind as SBTX nearers production, commercialisation and profit. We knew the IPO was happening so we have all had an opportunity to sell beforehand if we were not happy. I think and hope you will look back in a few months time and see things differently. | ![]() rafboy
05/4/2017 14:08 | I'm fairly new to investing so may not understand it all, but my assumption was that like me, a number of OPTI holders sold small amounts to invest into SBTX. Hence, the share price has dropped a little. OPTI having 41% of another company listed on AIM is surely a great asset to all OPTI shareholders, SOH being the biggest one of them. We've been told we'll be rewarded and I believe that to be true. I think SOH would want to make sure of that, again being a holder himself. I don't quite understand why OPTI share price is expected to rise on day one of the SBTX IPO. I'm sure new investors will do their research on both SBTX and OPTI, maybe then the share price of OPTI will be affected positively. It seems pretty basic to me, but I guess I am new to it. Also, with OPTI holders being able to buy at IPO, wouldn't the OPTI share price have suffered even more? But I think all will be revealed by Mickeymouse who rang SOH today demanding answers....didn't you buddy? :) Oh.. | ![]() loungeact
05/4/2017 13:59 | Raftboy, could you have written to-day's script as it's panning out? Could anyone? I know of only one segment that could have forecast handsome gain. | owenmo
05/4/2017 13:49 | This is part and parcel of the stock market. Winners and losers and today by your reckoning we have lost. I don't see it that way. Nothing has really changed as we see day to day fluctuations in the share price all the time. Perhaps you are sore that some people have made money via the IPO. Well that happens with every IPO, every placing etc etc, it's just the way it is and it is unlikely to change. | ![]() rafboy
05/4/2017 13:42 | Sorry to labour the point; with over 7m SBTX shares traded, a lot of money has changed hands to-day - to the benefit of many individuals. And all the while we who conceded the tradeable commodity to the market have seen our asset value decline, appreciably so - and whether temporary or not, or whether or when cholesterol product comes to the rescue, or whether our balance sheet has improved, affords little comfort. Tell the market our balance sheet has been strengthened. | owenmo
05/4/2017 13:42 | Guys remember, this was done for shareholder value, not to leave us Opti holders short! Wait for SOH to give his views on this, this will be soon. | ![]() primal123 |
