24/9/2019 16:19 | I'm mystified too ! Very strange especially after the RNS statement about Thomas Cook. I thought this would be going the other way. | gisjob2
24/9/2019 11:59 | amazed that the market seems to think the TCG demise is a positive for otb as the otb intro on this thread says: We are independent and have no fixed ties to airlines or hotels, meaning that we can offer customers a full market range of flight and hotel products bookable through online channels (including by desktop, mobiles, tablets and apps) and over the phone otb are an agent and they have just lost one of their main suppliers. so whilst tui and dtg benefit from less competition, for otb it is just a problem. In the short term they have a massive headache trying to re-book their TCG customers; in the longer term they have less holiday product available to them. Am I missing the upside for OTB? | melody9999
14/8/2019 10:29 | Pressure does seem to be generally on the downside here, with recovery later in the day. | gisjob2
11/8/2019 08:36 | Must be a cr@p business model to be so dependant on a currency you can't control. Surely they could have worked in some kind of currency hedge. | gisjob2
09/8/2019 09:58 | Agreed, things will only get worse as we head to a no-deal Brexit. | aishah
09/8/2019 09:02 | Dont try and bargin hunt here. Their whole model is based on a strong £ well thanks not happening this year so this is just the start. Stupid they dont hedge what they think is going to happen with no deal? | eggy6198

14/5/2019 14:32 | Yes could have been a lot worse. Seems quite decent given the backdrop. | its the oxman
14/5/2019 13:19 | Decent numbers given the brexit related travel market malaise. | lomax99
23/2/2019 17:56 | I'm out too. Too many times recently, large director sells have heralded poor performance. | rustle2
22/2/2019 14:48 | Not keen on the timing on today's Director sells. Looks like another leg down on the chart down to under 400p now. I'm out for now and will keep on a watchlist for a suitable re-entry point.GL all. | tallprawn
14/2/2019 08:31 | Shares magazine today: On The Beach storms ahead after bullish update The beach holiday retailer outlines next steps in its growth plan Beach holiday retailer On The Beach (OTB) has delivered 20% growth in UK sales (after marketing spend) in the first four months of its financial year, running to 31 January. That run-rate is ahead of the 14% forecast for the full year by investment bank Berenberg. The company has benefited from strong mobile traffic and conversion growth as more people are buying holidays on its site. On The Beach also says it is driving an increasing proportion of sales into its top selling and more exclusive hotel product. Efforts to tap into the long-haul market have seen the company complete its technical link to the Emirates flight system. It plans to hook up to more carriers including British Airways and Turkish Airlines as the year progresses, says Berenberg. Strategically this could prove to be very important for On The Beach as long-haul packages sell for about twice as much as short-haul ones and there are an estimated 3m passengers per year opting for such holidays, says Berenberg. That compares with 12m passengers in the short-haul market. Next month will see the launch of its online booking portal Classic Package Holidays for exclusive use by travel agents, capitalising on the acquisition of Classic Collection Holidays last year. SHARES SAYS: Keep buying. | lomax99

28/11/2018 22:22 | Yep decent results.....still sitting on hands, waiting.Would assume that until the B word is sorted and sterling starts to recover that this could just go sideways. | discodave4
28/11/2018 07:22 | These be good results chaps! Few % beat on normalised ebit, adj pbt in line. Given no update since aug, i think this derated on concerns those two months were very hot as well and so results could be worse, so this should be enough. Good start to the new year as well Business model is incredibly resilient against really tough conditions. The international business lacks scale and so performance there was pretty weak thanks to the weather which is a bit of a dampener but overall solid | pireric
23/11/2018 12:28 | Expecting results next week to remind the market of the attractiveness of OTB's business model. A lack of a further update following the last trading update (implying broadly in line, or slightly below generally), suggests trading did not deteriorate to the extent that results will now be clearly below I've started a position and taken the risk that the market might derate this further if the outlook is a bit weak for next year, but they are up against an easier compare this half because of Monarch last year. Plus summer next year will have an easier compare on revenue growth hopefully. I like to buy stocks facing transitory headwinds and so this summer is fine with me and hopefully over the next 3 years, paying mid teens forward earnings will prove good | pireric
