The FTC have reportedly blocked Kroger/Albertson merger. I wonder if K will focus on its supply chain and cfc rollout?
As for Ocado the K deal should be renegotiated to prevent strategic drift in future as well as appoint a new CEO.

Ocado giving 25% off grocery orders with free delivery to all new customers, means it is losing money on those Orders.

This marketing ploy might marginally increase sales turnover but it also increases Ocado's losses too.

How many of those "new" customers does Ocado manage to retain ?? Not many

Annual food price inflation slowed again in October, falling to 1.9% from 2.3% in September, according to the latest figures from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and NIQ (formerly NielsenIQ).

Shareholders need to take stock on whether Ocadis likely to hit strategic goals under current CEO or to appoint a big tech executive. A year of drift due to US cannot be repeated.
My view is to appoint a proven tech executive and get the business delivering.

The Chairman is going and in my opinion it should not provide CEO with protection from being sacked for the strategic missteps in USA,Canada and Australia. Ocado needs to move forward with orders for robots and cfcs.it should think if it needs to merge to gain scale across the global markets.

Sir Alex Ferguson was given time to sort Man United out, Mr Steiner gas had 22 yrs to deliver and it's time to call the changes at Ocado - appoint a proven tech heavyweight to replace the CEO and set a short period to deliver the goods or break it up.
