You think this is good news - ha,ha,ha

Supermarket sales volumes fell by 2.4 per cent. Comments from retailers pointed to unseasonably poor weather and consumers continuing to cut back on luxury food items.

Everyone knows the financials here it's not even GCSE level. The question is whether news is likely to be more positive or negative. I think the former.

It's a crazy stock I admit, but it's fallen a huge amount and news on trading and tech margins were great.

I see a significant rise coming...imo

I notice another RNS about directors buying shares through company scheme. I suggest directors who president over a period where share price has fallen should barred from any purchases through such schemes, till the share price has fully recovered.

Ocado has a long history of over-promising and under-delivering.
================================================================

Ocado is a company that’s been around since 2000 and it only ever reported a post-tax profit during three of those years.

Ocado's revenue stream was 12.2% higher in FY24 than in FY23 and its post-tax loss was £94 Million better but after all this time, surely the company should have turned the corner by now ?

When Ocado started, its online offering and home delivery service was different. Now every other supermarket chain is doing exactly the same thing.

Worryingly Oxado's losses have taken a toll on the company’s balance sheet. At 3 December 2023, its borrowings, including lease liabilities, were a staggering £1.96 Billion.

It looks like Ocado might be able to limp through FY25 without having to ask shareholders for more money or raise more debt. However, a rights issue cannot be ruled out if its losses persist or the timescale of its anticipated recovery slips. Ocado already has 50% more shares in issue than when it first listed.

Analysts think it is going to take a lot of cash to continually replace and improve its technology too.

But you don't bank profits if you think you are right. Massive short positions here. Lots of banking profits to look forward to.

Ocado needs to break away from its past - spin, missteps and the fallout with some of their partners. We need a new Board to deliver results.

Re Blackrock, maybe they've just banked some of their massive short-selling gains ahead of the Budget.
