09/4/2024 12:42 | Immediately post tender if fully subscribed the company will have £26m cash with 200m shares outstanding..13p cash per share against previous circa 18p cash per share. My understanding is the £3m on market share buyback can commence tomorrow but that has not been confirmed. Will the organic business experience a significant rerating as a result of the cash distribution we will see over the next few weeks. But if one apportions the value attributed pre announced distribution mechanism across the smaller amount of shares in issue. Take 20p pre , 2p enterprise value on 324m share outstanding so £6.5m if you divide that by reduced shares in issue gives 3.25p on top of cash per share. For the shares to remain at 21p the organic business would have to jump to £16m (8p per share) Stranger things have happened I guess. | kooba
09/4/2024 11:37 | I am not sure of logic that Nanoco shares should be worth more after tender offer and buyback. If they were profitable or impending good news maybe. If market perceived that outlook was not good then they could be valued on residual cash which would provide a share price of 11.5p. Less than that would be cheap... | unglove
08/4/2024 18:28 | They will still have £23m left, so no reason to fall much when already cheap. | weatherman
08/4/2024 18:17 | Yes probably go to 17p, maybe lower until better news comes. Thus worth selling at 24 and buy back at 17. But hey, markets are not rational. | and1
08/4/2024 17:58 | Tender offer is 38.5% of shares at 24p and then a smaller buyback. MC should halve to reflect expenditure. Approx 200m shares left with MC around £34m so you can do math as to likely share price. NAI DYOR etc. | unglove
08/4/2024 13:56 | If Nanoco uses its cash to buy back shares, the book value per share stays about the same, give or take. So expect the share price to remain around 21 or a bit lower in the near future until more news about company emerges. So use the proceeds at 24 to buy back at 21 or lower. Is my logic wrong? | and1

04/4/2024 18:41 | Triggered by the reference to the cretinous Hamoodi, Kooba leaps to the defence with yet another needless lecture to inform the his massed fan of his total knowledge and invincibility. I've heard his Y fronts are worn on the outside. | terrorwit

04/4/2024 07:46 | SN - yes I should have said shares rather than shareholders | septblues
03/4/2024 20:03 | No they didn't. Only holders of a relatively small number of shares voted at all, and most of them voted in favour, that's about all one knows with any certainty. The other thing one can say with some confidence is that the antis lack conviction, or diligence, or meaningful numbers of shares, or some combination thereof. But it's all irrelevant anyway. The tender and buyback are going ahead, as we knew beforehand they would. Now we just have to wait patiently to see how the game plays out... Edit: sept - we crossed, my post was obviously a reply to tw | supernumerary
