03/4/2024 13:37 | Hi guys, I see a Tenner is now worth less than a fiver now. So he is giving shareholders a chance to sell some of there shares at slightly above the market rate. When is he distributing the £33 million (I think) back to the shareholders he suggested he was going to do. | jamiedodge
03/4/2024 13:00 | If you want to take part in the offer tomorrow is the last day to take register with Interactive Investor. | blenny01
03/4/2024 12:38 | Quantum Leaper seems to lose a few brain cells with each post. That might not be much of an issue for most people, but not if you only have a few to begin with. Here is the latest offering: "TerrorWit2 Apr '24 - 14:13 - 39170 of 39186 (FWIW I'm going to accept the offer, diversify ----------------- Now, here is someone who states it was obvious to all except those who were deluded that around the time of the announcement of the settlement last year that the value derived from the deal would be no more than 20p and there was at the time not much else; ergo he believes that anyone should have realised the shares were grossly overvalued when they spiked to 70p. Except he now concedes he did not realise that himself and decided to hang on and not take 70p, despite apparently predicting post settlement proceeds of less than 20p - but is now selling a chunk of his holding at 24p! Chuckle chuckle. You could not make it up. I think the reality is he holds no shares and never has. I think he is here simply because he has nothing useful to do and is utterly bored. | yasx
02/4/2024 22:53 | I can assure everyone that Colin is not smart enough to be considered 'thick' I would classify him as above average 'dense'...We all know he aspires to becoming a fully fledged thicko, but he's stuck in first gear as purely 'dense' and it maybe a step too far for him to consider regressing to greater 'thickness'... | paul planet earth1
02/4/2024 19:17 | Interesting comment reading today. We have TerrorWit a 'new joiner' saying he knows all about Barkboos background seems to suggest he's a a former user with a new id account. Then we have Colin suggesting he's reporting users to Advfn admin given his outbursts he's got some nerve. Other than that it's a normal day here in Wonder Land lol! | paul planet earth1

02/4/2024 17:34 | Barkboo When you arrived here you told everyone you retired early because you'd won a lot on the horses and that you knew the form and that based on this (irrelevant) knowledge Nanoco was a sure thing. An assertion you repeated over and over You also said you were a member of a secret investing sect called 'the scaffolders' who never get things wrong. You referred to these 'scaffolders' all the time. And you're accusing Tenner of lying? Kindly do one. | terrorwit
02/4/2024 17:27 | TerrorWit - “I should have thought accusing the CEO of lying was an opinionated thing to write” no……..it The CEO told investors we would be getting between 10-12p back when Samsung pay up - I have not received a penny…. TerrorWit, that’s a blatant lie. We were not told we would have to gamble and play a risk game of stock dealing. | barkbooo
02/4/2024 17:09 | That’s some spike at the close is something happening? | warranty
02/4/2024 17:04 | Where have I been highly opinionated? So far as I recall I've only ever suggested listening to company guidance and ignoring all the foolish noise. I should have thought accusing the CEO of lying was an opinionated thing to write. | terrorwit
02/4/2024 16:11 | TerrorWit You say you have held from 2019 and yet you only started your prolific, highly opinionated posting in March 2024??? | fat frank
02/4/2024 15:16 | TerrorWit - are you full time here? Btw - when you think you are right and everyone else is wrong - chances are, it's you with the problem. I told you the outcome well over a year when I was briefed - turns out they nailed it! | barkbooo
02/4/2024 14:45 | BARKBOO Ditto | fat frank
02/4/2024 14:43 | You are not giving money back to your loyal investors when there are strings attached - so a genuine CEO would not have made that promise if he intended this extremely dubious outcome. He has given nothing back to me - so he lied! | barkbooo
02/4/2024 14:30 | Fat Frank The problem goes away when you stop worrying about the immediate impacts on the share price and think about the long term. We really don't know who's planning to buy in and when they're going to do so but I can't see why buyers won't appear if orders continue to grow. Fretting over the next year is too short term and amateur, let alone the next few days. I don't have a target price but I see no reason why the company won't eventually be valued by at least as much as it was at its historic peaks and possibly much more. It had far less going for it then than it does now with plenty of capital, regular customers and validated IP. I see it as an investment that I'll hold indefinitely for the eventual dividends and not as a trading stock but then I don't trade because I can read all the crass traders' comments here and recognise that they're all failing. | terrorwit
02/4/2024 14:23 | TerrorWit - finally some sense. I have said all along that this is a no-brainer for anyone whose holding is at a substantially lower level than the tender price. So you say 'but then I bought a lot between 6-10p in 2019'. So what is your target price? | fat frank
02/4/2024 14:13 | I listened to the whole Q and A today and some of these issues arose. I thought the whole presentation was excellent with BT taking time to answer all questions and explain everything carefully. I really don't see how anyone can not understand the position now. On the tender vs dividend question the answer came down to more favourable taxation since a dividend locks in higher rate taxation instead of lower rate CGT but a tender offer leaves the choice down to the individual investor because they aren't forced to tender. You will recall that choice was promised by the company The decision on whether or not to accept the offer is for individual investors who can refuse it and increase their exposure or accept it and keep their exposure the same whilst taking some cash to use to diversify or spend or sit on. (FWIW I'm going to accept the offer, diversify and hold the balance but then I bought a lot between 6-10p in 2019 and this probably effects my perspective.) | terrorwit
02/4/2024 13:51 | Why are you all surprised? | barkbooo
02/4/2024 13:31 | Based on that last post (although it is good to see a debate going)1. It is ok to sell 1/3 of my holding at a possible loss. 2. this loss might be avoided by not selling, as it is not a loss until crystalised.3. The future of effects of tendered shares being cancelled could mean an share price increase. So 3 reasons not to sell now? Are there any good reasons to take up the offer. | jfacwc
02/4/2024 13:02 | Fat Frank "So £370 gets you £221.41 (£130.02 + £91.20) a LOSS of £148.59 or 40%." --- It's not a loss until it's crystalised and is any case a smaller loss than the paper loss already being carried on the 37p shares which would get you £210 @ 21p. Anyway, your sums ignore the future effects of the tendered shares being cancelled. | terrorwit
02/4/2024 12:05 | Don't forget they've already allocated 10% of all tendered shares for share options and awards. So that Share count will immediately go up. | katsy |
