15/3/2017 12:52 | from link to Philips new range The new screens will use VA panels for improved contrast, and are expected to be officially unveiled at IFA what are VA panels? Interesting conjecture on potential earnings above, assuming nano achieve any sales. | notimpressed
15/3/2017 10:39 | from the financials last year Profit before tax (£m) (12.60) ) Adjusted EPS (p): (4.36) if that loss was revenue of +£12.6 mill that would equate to 4.36p EPS which at the current share price that would give a p/e ratio over 10% so they would need 12.6 million plus their operating costs to achieve that return. | dltbgyd
15/3/2017 09:26 | To be fair it does actually have to hold 40p for that argument to work!! | bagpuss67
15/3/2017 09:25 | I'm not sure the share price could hold at 40p despite the ongoing cash burn without any progress in the background on revenue. If there were no progress the company would have to be progressing a very discounted fundraising and I imagine the share price would be drifting down against the knowledge of that in the market and IIs selling into it? | bagpuss67
15/3/2017 09:15 | It's nice to see GSA reducing their short position.GhaoN it might well be Nanocos CFQDs. | syd7777

15/3/2017 09:09 | Interesting reference to the Philips QD TVs to be launched at IFA in September: hxxp://www.insideci. One can assume that these will contain Nanoco's CFQDs.... | ghaon
15/3/2017 09:08 | mrplay, perhaps if the tv screen was silent, and the parrot was CEO we might be in a better position | notimpressed
15/3/2017 08:42 | The predictions going round are that the April results will be disappointing with lots of promise for the future as per usual. Due to this and no news the shorters are increasing which means share price could drop to insane levels again. This can be stopped by one action. News of a tv in production. Looks like a good sign that philips is in or going into production. So far we have a parrot on a tv screen and silence from nanoco. If Mike could say we are now moving into production it protects the share price If he is silent is will continue to drop. | mrplay

14/3/2017 22:54 | That de soto edge page is clearly produced on the fly by an algorithm. The one broker it refers to is Cannacord which reiterated its buy rating and target of 110p in April, June and July of last year. You would have thought the end of Dow exclusivity, the Merck and wah Hong tie ups and the fact that apparently every year is a transformational year might have warranted a more recent update. Stale as that rating and target is I would suggest it is meaningless, along with all other broker ratings. | onething
14/3/2017 21:25 | Taken from today's The De Soto Edge: Recently stock market research analysts have changed their consensus ratings and price targets on shares of Nanoco Group (LON:NANO). The latest broker reports which are currently outstanding on Tuesday 14th of March state 1 analyst has a rating of “strong buy”, 0 analysts “buy”, 0 analysts “neutral” See link: hxxp://www.desotoedg | ghaon
14/3/2017 17:41 | Did anyone notice the Merck Q4 2016 results a few days ago? One brief mention of Nanoco, longer term their life sciences division may make a good fit for Nanoco's QD medical applications. INNOVATION: License agreement with Nanoco – enhancing position in quantum materials Also, if you were interested in the Merck takeover rumour this sentence might be of interest (doubtful IMO). •Larger acquisitions (>€500 m) ruled out for the next two years (or financed by divestments) | luxaeterna1
14/3/2017 16:40 | So silent Mike will allow shorters to destroy stock with his silence | mrplay
14/3/2017 16:38 | Always the next set of figures. | onething
14/3/2017 16:21 | To be fair, if we assume a projeted revenue of around £7-8m for the year, of which around £500k related to a previous period, and production was alleged to be ramping up as of early 2017, then we were never going to get more than £1-2m for the 6-month period in question anyway. Certainly not a time to panic. The revenue for the year to July will be far more telling. | wjs81
14/3/2017 15:13 | I posted the DGB case as a warning sign of the sort of thing to look out for. I dont think big players are forcing the Nanoco price down though, in order to make a killing on good news. There have been hardly any RNSs and there doesnt seem to have been much change in shorted stock. My own personal feeling, based on complete lack of news, is that hardly any, if any, revenue from Merck and Wah Hong will have come through by January 2017 (the upcoming interims cover August-January). There probably wasnt enough time to ramp up sales in that period. So I'm not expecting good revenue news in April. Hopefully there will be more encouraging news about H2 though but wtfdik. | minsky
