02/3/2017 13:41 | Nano is most likely expecting news from WH and Merck. These two are working to incorporate Nano's QD in certain forms that could be easily used in displays / monitors. If you want news, Merck will be talking at the meeting about their "nano" progress, in two weeks time. | balaura

02/3/2017 12:44 | copied from SRT bb, a mirror image of nanoco holder's predicament. "Irrespective of opinions and comments on this board the share price has tanked in view of lack of an update from the company and nerves about a fund raising. I believe its about time the company issued a press release on the state of progress" | notimpressed
02/3/2017 09:25 | sd - Thanks for your full response. I stand corrected, the £500,000 figure for 2017 is part of a £1.2m licence fee (not a royalty) from last year, for which the remainder will be recognised 2018-2023. The total for royalties and licences 2015/2016 was £156,000. Other than that we're still in the dark as to what will be announced in the interims end March / beginning April, so its stating the obvious to say its a bit of a gamble at the moment. | minsky
02/3/2017 04:04 | Nice find BigE, couldn't make head nor tail of it!!! Here's the link if there's and scientists on the board?! Does mention a lot about QD's anyway! | ajrgy1
01/3/2017 20:50 | Minsky – When you say ‘royalty money due in 2016/17’ yes we know we have royalty from Dow (RNS 29th April 16 and andycapped – cool name btw, royalties are only payable on actual sales not on sampling as per the agreement with Dow and we know we’re getting royalties (RNS) therefore we know we have sales). I’m not aware that we’ve had any figures on the value unless you are referring to the deferred income from last year? But that is different. They received the cash last year, that’s what matters, the accounting treatment is less important. WH are not marketing the dots, they BUY dots manufactured in Runcorn and apply them to a film which is then sold to OEMs. Minsky, you are quite right in that I don’t think we have PROOF yet of WH’s sales but ME announced that it was happening (in one of the many investor conferences I think) whilst I understand why many LTH might not have much faith in that IMO it’s fact (oxymoron, I know). The link that roadster posted at 10.31 was great to see. QD tvs haven’t gone mass market yet, but clearly many of the major brands are actively working on it. IMO the only QD company one could argue might be in a better position to capitalise on this is Nanosys but 1. There is room in the market for more than one QD company and 2). Nanosys still can’t do cad-free green, unless they crack that one their days are numbered. Let’s remember that Hansol is not a QD company, Samsung make their own dots under the banner of a subsidiary called Hansol, Samsung/Hansol do not sell dots, they make their own dots to go into their own Samsung branded products, not to supply anybody else. Tonsil – That’s why Hansol are not on the list that Mr Play posted because they are NOT a QD company. Mr Play – where did you get the projected results dates? | sd_anon

01/3/2017 08:20 | In answer to my own question they must be the source of Cadmium dotsCANdots® Series A - Quantum Dots with emission in the visible rangeThese semiconductor nanoparticles are based on CdSe and available as core only or advanced and more stable core/shell/shell system. The emission ranges from 525 to 625 nm with an guaranteed FWHM below 40 nm and quantum efficiency up to above 40%. This product is generally soluble in unpolar organic media and is delivered having a concentration of 5 mg/mL of inorganic material. While the core particles are applicable in research and development of solar cells, the more stable core/shell/shell product can be used in demanding fields like light emitting devices, lasers or - after transfer into aqueous media - life science. | tonsil
