14/3/2017 14:27 | Philips TPV Technology manufactures CRT monitors, LCD monitors and LCD TVs. As of 2010, TPV had a total production capacity of 6.1 million monitors in a month. TPV has five factories in China, two in Brazil, one in Poland and one in Russia, and sells its products worldwide. The share price s down coz soros is moving in, minskys right.:) | roadster750

14/3/2017 10:15 | from the link Merck is supplying the crucial substances for these developments and is expanding its portfolio by acquiring innovative companies. Its nice to dream, we will wake one morning to an rns, merck make offer for nanoco @ 180p a share | notimpressed

14/3/2017 04:03 | I have just come across this stock. All the reading i have done so far tells me whats not in the nano. Another nano stock base is graphene. Whats the base for Nanoco? | davethecat
13/3/2017 23:24 | And who are you :)? Unlike you, Kuss has been here for months. If your assumptions were correct, the II would have unloaded by now. | balaura
13/3/2017 22:45 | is kuss a plant for the ii's? employed to hold the price up for as long as possible whilst they unload their holdings at the highest possible price, or he could be "mike" on a damage limitation excersize | notimpressed
13/3/2017 21:31 | Yes, Phillips one of the prototypes at CES, moving ahead nicely. Also interesting that they have dropped Dolby Vision. A significant move imo suggesting standards will have to follow Samsung's HDR 10 approach soon to become the norm. Remember 8 million revenue out of Runcorn about 6 weeks of production. TCL and Hisense also prototypes .. LG's rear guard action domed to failure I think. Qdots an inevitability for the industry, only a matter of time. It's just the limitations of existing phosphors. Wonder what Merck are up to? They were very keen according to recent reports. Another 50-60 million investment soon to be announced.. Buy the future sell the past.. | kuss1
13/3/2017 21:08 | Thank you restorer. A great start. | mrplay

13/3/2017 19:46 | firminator, I could n't agree more, what would help is more honesty from the bod and ME in particular, at least if it was only along the lines we, miscalculated the time to commercial sales. instead we get either nothing or totally unreal hints about impending production. | notimpressed
13/3/2017 19:32 | There are articles on qds in scientific journals published everyday. This one is no different. | robotface
13/3/2017 19:20 | Mwwh- The article that Syd kindly directed us to declares that this use of QDs in quantum computing is a first. I agree with Syd that, whilst this QD application may have no relevance to Nanoco right now, it raises the whole profile of QDs. Nanoco now has a senior manager for applications and this Q.Computer application will be discussed at Nano. Nigel Pickett is a very bright guy and he must rank as a true world leader in QD research. Who knows, but, to me, this is a positive. Nano's partnerships with all of Merck, Do/DuPont and Wah Hong give me hope in these new potential applications of QDs. In addition, the more generic QDs become, the more likely the Cadmium restriction will come into play. Time will tell, but I remain essentially optimistic. | enteleon
13/3/2017 19:04 | I don't think Nanoco's technology has anything to do with quantum computing at all. Don't get excited over another 'application' which doesn't exist until they have made a go of the original light emitting dots that have millions upon millions invested in development for zero sales to date. | onething
13/3/2017 18:58 | Enteleon: I enjoyed reading your very clear explanation of Quantum Waves. I do remember Edelson recently (within past 2 years) stating in an interview that Nanoco is not doing any work in the Quantum Computing arena. Hopefully, rapidly advancing designs will expose Nanoco to computing related opportunities. | mwwh
13/3/2017 18:41 | Still doesn't answer the question if anyone is buying are blooming dots. Hopefully not much longer to wait until we find out, one way or the other. | andycapped
13/3/2017 18:33 | Robotface no relevance to Nanoco but to the industry as a whole with QDs gaining an upper hand in future Computing advencements especially with Quantum computers needing to store information. The really good news for QDs is they could replace the chip.Thank you Enteleton for commenting with an expert intake. | syd7777
13/3/2017 18:13 | enteleon, so nano are in possession of circa 100 mill of shareholders dosh, so they can play atomic tiddlywinks. | notimpressed |
