28/8/2020 09:17 | Which should I buy now then or does it matter? Bought a small amount of this 10 years ago! Wow finally | johnny1982
28/8/2020 09:00 | Exactly, GB wouldn't buying MWG if the tech wasn't doing what he wants it to do, great news imo | monkey puzzle
28/8/2020 08:45 | judi they have 'muddied the water' a bit by lobbing the consolidation into the situation! bird in hand??? | 2magpies
28/8/2020 08:43 | I said this should happen some time ago, did not expect it to be so soon though. Fantastic premium for MWG holders and each MWG share goes to SKIN. As a result SKIN's MCAP substantially and the 10:1 consolidation will get rid of the penny share brigade and bring in the big investors. As I see it is a Win:Win for everyone with all synergies and costs savings + not having to run 2 PLCs. I like it very much, well played Gerry B. | monkey puzzle
28/8/2020 08:42 | To my way of thinking this was an arbitrage opportunity, while SKIN ran so far ahead of MWG. Today's news looks less like a takeover than a merging of the two entities, with some cross subsidy in terms of market value from SKIN to MWG. Think of it in terms of the reunification of West and East Germany. (Or not...) Short term pain for holders of SKIN, but the combined business will be formidable, with lots of potential income streams. Basically, MWG was undervalued, and this has served as a correction. | brucie5
28/8/2020 08:34 | And possibly miss out on more potential good news in the pipeline if any hits prior to the deal date | judijudi
28/8/2020 08:23 | so holders may take profit if well up on both on both and wait till consolidation. | onehanded
28/8/2020 08:21 | jpsmithsom yes, indeed. And 9 times out of ten, share price slips post-consolidation! So SKIN could slip after consolidation. Don't ask me why, but almost always seems to happen after any consolidation. | 2magpies
28/8/2020 08:15 | There is no "price" in the offer. It is a straight swap of MWG shares for SKIN. So if SKIN falls to 2p MWG is worth 2p. and all other combinations. Forget about the 4.1p, that only applies if the SKIN price goes back to 4.1p | jpsmithson
28/8/2020 08:15 | SKIN and MWG now both at 3.65 | davemac3
28/8/2020 08:13 | Because the offer is paper and the price of that paper is down 10% on the deal | slicethepie
28/8/2020 08:12 | only you can make that choice... | global nomad
28/8/2020 08:11 | Still wondering why as a current holder of MWG I should not buy more considering the price to buy is below the offer price 🤷a | judijudi
28/8/2020 08:07 | https://twitter.com/ | hamidahamida
28/8/2020 08:04 | The incompetent idiot from Ip group deserves a mention in dispatches mike Townsend ....couldn't run a bath | slicethepie
28/8/2020 08:03 | Worth reading some of the stuff written by the old chairman it was worthy of Walt Disney! | slicethepie
28/8/2020 08:02 | "Well done all long term holders." Eh?? 12 years ago this was over a pound, had £30 million cash and was primed to be a modern day Goliath of a renaissant global water industry, so well done to current short term holders, commiserations to the long-term stakeholders excluding the management | velvetide
28/8/2020 08:01 | Sadly, worth remembering the old board and the ceo destroyed this company and required it to be refinanced at 0.5p HAD they not done this today's takeover price would be circa 20p based on back of envelope calcs. | slicethepie
28/8/2020 07:57 | This is great news for both companies. It is also the right thing to do IMHO. This now has the makings of a future massive business. I am not selling a share even though the combined value is now a much larger part of my portfolio than I would normally want !!! GLA | parsons4
28/8/2020 07:56 | first bought in in 2017.... | global nomad
28/8/2020 07:53 | Well done all long term holders. | tell sid
28/8/2020 07:49 | dummy trades to check.....3.55 sell price, 3.6 buy price, | global nomad
28/8/2020 07:45 | Well it was only a matter of time! And Zak was almost right when he said this could go to 4p! GJB was riding 2 horses @ the same time. | 2magpies |
