Not a bit ....depends where you think a company will be eventually.

If I want something I am sometimes prepared to pay more because sometimes pennies don't count in the bigger picture.

Got a few more at 51 on spread bet just before the bell, after someone had paid 52 for them in real life, which always cheers me up

By my maths IP Group have bought more. their overall holding in MIRI has gone down from 31% to 25% due to the dilution of the placing. But if they hadn't bought more that percentage would have dropped to 22%.

They have the same number but their % has decreased due to more shares in issue so they were diluted in the raise. Look at the date the threshold was crossed.

why would IP Plc be reducing its holding in a significant way just when all settled and consolidated for a real boom? makes no sense to me. did they state any reasons but the usual one (providing liquidity to the market and similar)

"Netflix raises UK prices to cover cost of content"

Published 1 hour ago

...This is exactly the problem that MIRI have identified. Streaming services can't run traditional adverts so the only way they can increase revenue to pay for new programs is by either getting more subscribers or raising prices. And as the average viewer now subscribes to multiple services there's only so much money they'll be prepared to stump up.

Part of the solution is to embed MIRI's ad technology in the streaming content. It's a win / win / win for all parties!

"The net proceeds from the Placing will be used for general working capital purposes in pursuit of the Company's existing strategy outlined to shareholders and specifically, it will allow Mirriad to develop its business by investing (a) in its sales capabilities with specific reference to the recently announced Music Alliance and in developing its US revenue stream in general, and (b) in its technology team in the areas of live programming and real-time advertising decisioning and delivery, in addition to further strengthening its balance sheet to better position the Group to successfully service very large partners."

...By my rough calculations they might have as much as £36m cash now. So I think we're going to be seeing some very large contracts being announced - with very large partners!

IP simply diluted rather than dumping, look at the date of threshold crossed

Looks like the placing churn is drying up. So this should resume moving north again.

I didn't realise it was from the Heineken stable, superb and plenty of other brand to work with under the umbrella. Some rather large marketing budgets too. Hopefully in the trading update due in a few weeks we get info on how the tier 1 relationship is progressing. We know they have launched a campaign for a cereal maker and it'd be good to know what else is planned. From the RNS -While there is no immediate income linked to the signing of this agreement, it instead sets out the terms and conditions for doing business. It covers both network syndication and streaming, allowing the new tier one partner to expand the use of Mirriad's technology to any of its US distribution platforms and content. In the first phase, four high rating programmes are being cleared for release to the advertising market. Building on the momentum generated by this important announcement, Mirriad will now seek to develop its ongoing discussions with other leading entertainment and media partners in the US.

I'd never heard of the singer Giovanny Ayala before, but his video with the MIRI advertising embedded in it which only went live on New Years day has already clocked up over 193,000 views and 251 comments on YouTube alone.

And with the Beer brand being promoted being from the Heineken stable this is another good showpiece for MIRI tech.

Importantly of course everyone watching the video will be fans of the artist and music so will be fully engaged in the video so the product placements should have a lot more impact.

analysts will study the impact of branded integrations in music videos using its technology. The above is over my head! Potential massive though and I hope they bring the trading update forward as end of Jan or early Feb too long to wait

Someuwin is right. The potential is massive. With a pile-up (indeed glut) of feature films to be released there will be a fear of financial failure. Individual adverts e.g. Motorway board in a driving scene, (Tesco in a Tom Cruise film, different boards for foreign countries) is possible if it proves to pay off.
