Phil Oakley on the IC podcast this week talking about how will Disney's streaming service is doing. While its cruises and theme parks are shut they will be pushing this hard and the MIRI service allows them to maximise revenues.

My problem is that it's such a large holding that every time it drops my portfolio takes a dive. It must be on a few people's radar by now I imagine. Maybe there's something afoot as there haven't been any announcements for a while. Not planning to sell any for the time being.

Yep ... this isnt about short term profits ... is about IP / partnerships (disney / tencent / lots to come) and long ter possible industry leadership. Worth lots more than short term profits.

I only have a modest holding here and don't look in very often. Surely the value of Mirriad lies not in the small profits they're currently making today, but in their IP and their major market deals? I am hoping to see a bigger fish snap Mirriad up this year, and don't see any problem with at least 100p takeout price, and more likely 150p+. That would cause barely a burp for a hungry media/advertising giant.Anyone else feel similarly?

Looking online today there's a couple of new job vacancies at Mirriad's London office. I have noted quite a few articles with various mags regarding the music alliance launch, few western media and one over in china(kknews.cc). With tweet below hopefully they are fully operational so we can expect news imminently on music, to my mind major news will be a large advertiser or two, potentially more music companies singing contracts.



Add in another tier 1 partner for video, possibly more, we may get confirmation of who will be testing the live TV offering or confirmation or when this will be launched.

Right, but none of those as advertising entities have anything to do with what AWS sells.

AWS is not an advertising platform - it provides compute resources. Sure maybe they could create a MIRI plugin/service/solution to edit video hosted within their platform, but that doesn't get them into China.
