Interesting article in Automotive News Europe titled

“GKN exec steers supplier into electrified era”

One Question is

“Has the switch in ownership to Melrose Industries affected your business or r&d strategy?

Not really. Melrose aims to bring clarity, accountability and focus to all of GKN's business, and I think that's a good thing. That should be the driver for any business.”

Something that has been lacking at Kier.

I've been thinking about your stop-loss idea.

Could you please answer me this question:

I buy into a share and I want to remain a long investor.....

I set a stop-loss just below my buy-in price and suddenly the share price falls and the stop-loss executes.

What do I do?

Do I buy back in and then set another stop-loss? What if the share price falls again and the stop executes again?

Is it 3rd time lucky?

Are you an agent for a stock broker?

ROFLMAO!

MEANWHILE

Just ignore the cretins. They haven't got anywhere notable in life and never will. I know that for a fact. You can just tell from their on-line behaviour.

As for the dunderheads thinking I have made appalling investments, their hope is somewhat misplaced. They don't understand investing. They think it is all about the share price behaviour.

Let them continue in their ignorant game. It's fine by me, I have been making millions out of these fools for over two decades.

Have a good weekend.

There seems to be a lot of pleasure derived by some posters from the financial misfortunes of others, however short lived these may be.

A new study suggests a link to more serious afflictions.

New Ideas in Psychology, Volume 52, January 2019, Pages 1-11
Schadenfreude deconstructed and reconstructed: A tripartite motivational model

Summary :
PSYCHOPATH: Scientists link schadenfreude to 'dark' traits including sadism and narcissism
- Taking pleasure in the suffering of others is known as schadenfreude in German
- Scientists say the feeling is linked to sadism, narcissism and psycopathy
- Dehumanising others is a core technique used by psychopaths that also
drives schadenfreude

Stop losses are for traders Yertiz. Don't mix trading with investing, it doesn't work.

By-the-way, still a while to go before it hits the same percentage fall as Melrose. LOL

Must be a sickening feeling when you invest in a company when you don't think it will fall any lower, and it does - by a huge amount too. Kier fanboy must be going through every shade of green wishing he had employed a stop loss, ha ha ha ha. ROFLMFAO.

Why can't we all just get along?

"If only they had done their homework and understood company operations before buying they wouldn't be in such a mess, lol."

He says whilst watching Melrose fall from c260 to 166.75 in less than 12 months - a fall of approximately 36%.

Meanwhile he watches Kier and comments on my purchases which are now averaging lower than the rights issue (rights issue c400p - let's be generous), and currently the share price sits c300p. A fall of approximately 25%.

Seems to me someone isn't watching their own game close enough. ;)

What a numpty! LOL

I have done my homework, have you done yours! ROFLMAO!

tournesol,

Mrs May struck an agreement in 2016 with the EU mafia leaders to provide a brexit deal which would be so bad for the UK that it would be rejected. As a consequence, opinion would shift away from 'leave' and a 2nd referendum would then be held reversing the initial decision.

It didn't quite work out, of course, but almost did.

If that isn't the act of a "traitor", then my name's Lord Basil Rathbone.

However, nobody's talking about violence.

Camping on the Southernmost part of mainland UK this weekend. Weather glorious but will be missing the rugby, F1 GP (RIP Niki Lauda) and the MEP election results. That will be a foregone conclusion anyway, much like May's departure in May, haha.

Soon be time to buy MRO, looking extremely cheap at the current SP, unlike Kier which is falling like a stone. Still, there are those who think they were a bargain at £4.30 and went on to buy significant amounts, apparently. If only they had done their homework and understood company operations before buying they wouldn't be in such a mess, lol.

Tournesol, that may be a bit strong but more and more is coming out about how she has tried to sabotage Brexit.

T May might be incompetent, lacking in leadership, imagination and communication skills and is way out of her depth. But I really think that people should refrain from using extreme language like "traitor". There are some nut jobs out there who can easily convince themselves that violence is a proper response against people they disagree with. All of us should avoid inciting anyone of that mindset to go over the edge.
