In that case it's interesting how much you used to talk about the Kier share price when it briefly cleared £5? It wasn't 1, 2 or 3 above but you couldn't stop talking about it, even on other boards! Almost %100 of the time 😂😂😂

I'm not interested in the share price unless:

(1) It is low enough and I want buy;
(2) It is high enough and I am looking to sell; and
(3) There is a company event/action which is a function of the share price

What it does between those 3 I couldn't care less because you are only watching the buy and sell behaviour of idiots, most of which have a short-term focus and investment horizon.

There, I've helped you. Buffet would be proud.

By the way Porky, what have you done to upset Porsche and Gairich today on the KIE board?? You've really gained their respect haven't you!!

Let's look at that last post:
"Back to Kier, nothing has changed" - err, yes it has, the share price has just gone down again! Although you might well classify that as nothing changing I suppose!

"Minerve is a professional" - at what exactly?

"His overall return is close to %50,000" - hmmmm, really? I'd love to see that calculation! And on what scale of investment? And who the hell writes the % before the number??

Very funny post though, Porky! Have you been swimming today?

GKN Fokker Services and Estafeta’s cargo airline have signed a contract to deliver GKN Fokker Services’ customized ADS-B Out solution to Estafeta’s cargo airline B737 fleet, that is servicing Mexican domestic and global markets.

Estafeta, a logistics service provider, needed to equip their fleet in order to comply with the new ADS B-Out mandate with deadline 2020. Operating their cargo airline from the international Airport Ponciano Arriaga as their main hub, Estafeta placed an order with GKN Fokker Services to ensure compliancy with the new regulations. In need of an ADS-B Out solution including standalone GPS, and flying a fleet with different configurations, the cargo airline was looking for a tailored solution.

After a phase of extensive information exchange, GKN Fokker Services and Estafeta are closely working together to guarantee the timely installation of a solution that fits all requirements and specifications. Estafeta has also purchased the Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System 7.1 (TCAS7.1) modification from GKN Fokker Services.

Marcelo Bellezze, Sales Manager at GKN Fokker Services said: “We are very happy with Estafeta as a customer for our ADS-B Out solution. Especially for small to medium sized fleets with diversely configured equipment installed, our solutions are an ideal match. Winning Estafeta as a returning customer for the TCAS7.1 modification is a great appreciation for our team.”

Carlos Patricio Mata Llamas, Aeronautical Engineer at Estafeta said: “Working with GKN Fokker Services has been a professional and positive experience. The solution they offered and installed in our fleet is specifically tailored to our requirements. The team answered all technical questions in a highly qualified way and constantly kept up the conversation. Their customer-centric approach supported us in the best way possible to become compliant to the mandate 2020.”

B+, the construction sector is in big trouble, that is pretty obvious. You and I did warn Minny but he let emotions get in the way of objective judgement I'm afraid. Remember he has not been investing that long so is still learning. The trouble may be about to get a lot worse. A new Conservative leader may well stop HS2...

Hi Yertiz

I see another Exeter v Sarries final coming up.

Glaws did tremendously well yesterday at Sale with a mainly second team and three Academy players. At one point I thought they might win against a full strength Sale team.

ryelodge,

"when the Board is strengthened with engineering experience and they learn not to shoot themselves in the foot with their public relations".

All you need for asset stripping are accountants; a proper engineer on the board would be an impediment.
But it does show their weakness in public relations that they can't even bring themselves to appoint a 'stooge engineer' to the board, to give some impression of balance.

They could also be used to give ordinary shareholders greater dividends.

The rest of the FT article addresses the fact that this facility had good levels of business.

Not much room to manoeuvre and so I could see more of this happening over the next 24 months.

The buffoon we refer to as POTUS isn't helping.

Yes, Minerve, what has been promised, must somehow be paid.

Sadly, savings on the 170 jobs here won't come close to paying the bonuses.
170 jobs will save around £7M per year, so we'll need around 800 more job losses to pay one of the 4 director bonuses. Then we'll have the other 3 directors bonuses, requiring losses of a further 3000 jobs.

The imbeciles who think these levels of bonuses are OK need to apply a little bit of brainpower and arrive at a simple man's measure of what 4x£40M really is.

The bonuses are equal to the annual earnings of 4000 well paid staff.
The bonuses could buy a meal for everybody in the country.

Staff at GKN’s Kings Norton facility, which makes windows and canopies for military and civil planes, were told last month that the site would be wound down by 2021 with the loss of 170 jobs, on the grounds that it was “no longer a sustainable business”. - FT

Got to pay those bonuses somehow guys.

Probably not an MRO blue day. Silence ........ probably to be followed by sport, food and lifestyle fantasies. The share price will respond when it is made clear there will not be further key decamps in the next 12 months; when the Board is strengthened with engineering experience and they learn not to shoot themselves in the foot with their public relations.

"So either you're lying or you're very easily pleased! Or maybe just a born loser??

No, just tend to be pragmatic about these things. Perhaps you should develop this characteristic, it might have saved you time and money in fanboy stocks like PLUS, BUR and PURP.

Another disappointing day is store for MRO shares. The short-lived rise above £2
now looks like a blip.

Now, who knows what truth there is in the many wild rumours that constantly circulate around the market but there is a new one relating to MRO and this current decline, since the trading update.

The fall is being put down to Melrose staff selling MRO shares to raise money for their contributions to David Roper's leaving gift.
If correct, we can expect this effect to run for some time, perhaps accelerating towards his departure date.

getting tells us :-

"And by the way, I was in a pub with over 50 Liverpool fans just now, and they were definitely not celebrating anything at the end!!"

More detail in future getting, please. You didn't tell us how much you yourself had drank, the final bill for all the drink & food consumed by your party and how many of your friends were either sick on the way home or didn't know how they got home.

I tend to agree with you. When Bliar pops his clogs I will celebrate as I did with McGuinness.

Brilliant day in Bristol today, away from any sport or politics. Mrs Brexitplus tells me we walked 15,374 steps. Great to see so many people enjoying life to the full. Cafes and restaurants full. Picnics everywhere.

Then home to the peace and quiet of our garden, asparagus with Parmesan and a rather good bottle of white.

And tomorrow another beautiful day forecast.

ChangeUK logo should be a set of traffic lights stuck on amber. Lol.

Protest votes will be a huge indication of the loss of faith the public have in their selected representatives, many of whom should have been imprisoned for their expense fiddles, corruption and renaging their responsibilities in allowing true democratic process. Much like the corrupt bankers pre 2008 who are also protected by their political friends and immune from due process. How on earth is Bliar still allowed to have influence in our political system? He is as big a crook as Gerry 'never a member of the IRA' Adams.
