We've had some amazing peaches this year from the garden and lots of pears and raspberries but no apples whatsoever for some reason, no idea why?

Hi Losos, hope you are well. Will be picking more blackberries this afternoon. We also have lots of sloes for sloe gin, and brother in law has damsons for damson vodka and jam. We’ve had a bumper crop of French beans and tomatoes but salad and courgettes a bit disappointing this year. Sadly our garden isn’t big enough for a fruit cage. We grew raspberries and gooseberries when we had an allotment.

How are the dogs?

Yes, one of my favorite deserts, there's a small dirt track near us which has loads of blackberries, the wild ones do seem to have a 'special' taste, I also grow a couple of the newer varieties (Reuben & Loch Tay)but although they have much bigger berries they don't have quite the same taste as the wild ones.

He still hasn't answered why he is still a holder of MRO given his dissatisfaction with the share price performance. Funny you should mention roast beef. We have been given a large piece of sirloin by a friendly farmer (he also has 500 sheep!!!). Will be eating it on Sunday with family. Big Yorkshire puddings.

You never did get back to me about the predictions you seem to think I made.

Getting is a fine fellow. He has plenty of cash to feed himself, and I would like to meet him sometime.

what you need to do today, to cheer yourself up a little, is to have a really big roast beef dinner, say 3 pounds of rib of beef, with your favourite gravy. Since you claim to have no dog, take that fellow getting with you, to chew on the bones. Leave a little meat on them for him otherwise he might become aggressive, or he might just sulk and be uncooperative.
Getting can also help with the inevitable spillages of gravy onto the cravat or blazer lapels; there's bound to be a bit of drooling at your age. Have getting use a damp, lightly soaped sponge for this, no harsh detergents.
