14/9/2018 09:40 | Whereas Ryelodge spends most of his time interacting with sheep, posting 'Can't we all just get along' messages on this board and convincing himself £250k is a fortune. | gettingrichslow
14/9/2018 09:38 | I agree with Minerve & Meanwhile here, but the floodgates are open now and can't be closed. There is opportunity for everyone to be noticed and most people seem to want to take it. I find this with City folks especially, since there's nothing else to do in the city than interact with other people. Roast beef for lunch, washed down with a cute & crafty little wine, Dominique Piron Beaujolais Nouveau 2006. | meanwhile
14/9/2018 09:34 | You're describing yourself there Minerve! A perfect summary of what you do all day every day! | gettingrichslow
14/9/2018 08:58 | With this criticism of gettingdownhill, could Tournesol be Minerve or Meanwhile. And who is vhs? Who is ryelodge? With getting and brexit's clever exposure of posters using several different names, we don't really know who's behind these opinions or the balance of opinion in terms of number of posters. Ah, city folks. | meanwhile
14/9/2018 07:57 | Getting was not talking about Cheshire in general, but about Macclesfield in particular. A subject of which neither he, nor you it would seem, have any knowledge. On ADVFN, of course, ignorance is never a barrier to the formation and expression of opinion. | tournesol
13/9/2018 23:45 | Gettingrich Perhaps the local population were getting dressed up in honour of your visit. After all it's not often that blue-blooded southern gentry brave the hazards of the north. The simple denizens of my old home, Macclesfield, are easily overwhelmed and overcome when they encounter aristocracy. You should try putting them at their ease by complimenting them on their flat caps and clogs, or admiring their whippets. If they offer you some tripe and onions, do remember to slurp loudly to express your appreciation and always accompany it with milk stout. We northerners are but simple folk unaccustomed to the sophisticated ways of quality such as yourself. We do of course see your rich and ancient culture as documented in TOWIE, Made in Chelsea and Eastenders, but we cannot possibly aspire to such heights of civilisation and learning for ourselves. | tournesol
13/9/2018 21:45 | Getting, the reverse of the south. When at my top ranking university I regularly visited a fellow student who lived near Leeds. I noticed that people dressed up in the evenings and weekends, while in the south we dressed down. And when I was interviewed by Shell in Holland for a research post I wore a three piece suit and was informed that they didn’t wear waistcoats. Odd. What is the steak like?? | brexitplus
13/9/2018 19:13 | I'm up in Cheshire tonight near Macclesfield - the locals here like to get 'dressed up' even if they're just popping out for a pint of milk. Very strange... | gettingrichslow
13/9/2018 16:21 | Now is good time to buy MRO shares. Let's all now just get along. | meanwhile
13/9/2018 10:07 | Now, come on now, can't we all just get along? | meanwhile
13/9/2018 09:39 | Getting, I’m quite partial to rib-eye. Our local butcher does fantastic steaks, all local. I see Zimmer’s drinking pal, the alcoholic Juncker, is saying all taxes in the EU should be set by Brussels. | brexitplus
13/9/2018 09:23 | Another half-focused day at work perhaps? Such a hard life being a 'meetings over lunch' manager. Does the wee little wife feel sorry for you? LOL | minerve
12/9/2018 17:06 | I'm fully focussed on my work this afternoon - finished off a lovely rib-eye steak and bottle of Malbec and now off to the pub! Hard at it here! | gettingrichslow
12/9/2018 16:15 | I don't know what the numpty posted but shouldn't he be at work appeasing his masters? Naughty little boy not focusing on his work. | minerve
12/9/2018 16:07 | AA=MINUS5.00% since yesterday at 15.30 So what? At least we can all agree that we're leaving the EU in a matter of months and that that's a good thing for the UK. | gettingrichslow

12/9/2018 11:27 | I might post some time today but should I do it as Meanwhile, ryelodge, ryebread, vhs or other names I might use? | meanwhile
