17/10/2012 10:56 | I'm generally not in favour of companies wasting money on corporate makeovers and excessively flashy websites - but to me the L0-Q website looks amateur. Some of the text needs editing (not crisp enough). The overall page style makes it look a very small company (ie, small as in really small - like might be used by a local self-employed family plumber). | m.t.glass
17/10/2012 10:38 | Buying coming in at 380p-382p now. Tremendous stuff. | rivaldo
17/10/2012 10:00 | I have a target price of between 500p and 600p in around 18 months time, at this rate it looks like its gonna arrive a little earlier that expected! :-) What a great stock/investment this has proved to be! Happy days indeed! :-) :-) | itchycrack
17/10/2012 09:50 | Failing again today | igbertsponk

16/10/2012 15:58 | Inching up penny by penny. Suggests someone is buying a lot but trying not to move the price too quickly. | igbertsponk

15/10/2012 14:27 | Buying coming in at 350p. And more deals to come according to this.... "More deals around the corner for Lo-Q, says CEO 11:11 am by Jamie Nimmo Autumn is typically a time when theme park operators bring in new products, rides and attractions to upgrade parks before the profitable summer season Virtual queuing specialist Lo-Q's (LON:LOQ) CEO says there are more deals round the corner as it moves into what he calls the company's "deal season". Chief executive Tom Burnet reflected on what was an excellent week for the company, during which it unveiled two new deals with major theme park operators. Burnet told Proactive Investors Lo-Q is already putting the building blocks in place for next summer in a busy deal-making period. Autumn is typically a time when theme park operators bring in new products, rides and attractions to upgrade parks before the profitable summer season. "Over the next three or four months, for sure I'm very hopeful that we'll have more things to come to the market and talk about," he said. Thursday's deal with an as yet unnamed but top US theme park operator will see Q-bot, Lo-Q's flagship virtual queuing handset, launched at two of its parks across the Atlantic. "It's another new, very significant theme park group and they're taking an established product this time on a long-term arrangement with an opportunity to expand," said the chief executive. "They're one of the biggest players in the world so we're really thrilled." There is also an option for the operator to expand the scope of the deal to other theme parks and water parks in America and internationally. The agreement is for an initial four-year period with the option to extend the term for a further two years. The company said the revenues associated with the new contracts are expected to scale gradually, over time. etc" | rivaldo
12/10/2012 13:27 | Just saw this i know its a bit late "The partnership will see both firms collaborate on the promotion, sale and support of Lo-Q's products in the region. A senior Lo-Q manager will work in Sanderson's Asia Operational Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur to oversee the partnership and the smooth running of the operation. The project which will formally start in November 2012, will last for an initial one year period with an option to convert into a formal Joint Venture arrangement in November 2013 or before. " Lets hope they send their best man/woman on this as it does seem to me to be a very important milestone for us. pp | perceypig
12/10/2012 12:59 | Oh dear, looks like the Market is short of stock : Bid 343.3p (Max = 2500) Offer 345p (Max = 1) spud | spud
12/10/2012 11:03 | More coverage from Edison FYI: As the note says, LOQ's technology is now being used by 6 of the world's top 10 operators, but is in "widespread use" at only one of them as yet. Plenty of room for substantial growth from here. Nice to see the mention of the patents being strong too. | rivaldo
12/10/2012 08:13 | RP19 - Check out my 8835 post. All IMO but well achievable. spud | spud

11/10/2012 23:26 | Just a thought... Disney might not be willing to consider an external provider, but I wonder if they would consider buying a licence to use the LOQ IP and knowledge-base to develop their own system, to be used only in their resorts? If they would consider it, I wonder what sort of licence fee would be appropriate? £100k per year for each of the 6 resorts would be £600k £200k per resort = £1.2m Wonder if LOQ have thought of enquiring? Might be worth exploring, as it would make super-high margin business for LOQ... | the analyst
11/10/2012 21:43 | How much further do people think these have got to go? Been massive increase since 2009. I'm not a holder but the recent news seems v. encouraging. | rp19
11/10/2012 17:34 | That sounds a possibility, own branding would explain why client not mentioned | valustar1
11/10/2012 17:18 | What is the norm regarding Lo-Q product labelling. Do items all carry one of Lo-Q's brandname/logo? Or are they own-label branded by the client? | m.t.glass
11/10/2012 16:44 | Universal is a great well respected world wide brand, which has taken decades to build up. I should think that they don't want other companies getting recognition from their name without an enormous advertising fee. Take the olympics for example, I know of one of the main food suppliers to the event, when he asked for "supplier to the Olympic games" to be put on the side of his lorries he was quoted £10m for the advertising fee. A farm close to where I live supplied strawberries to Wimbledon (tennis), when they advertised this fact without their permission they simply lost the contract. So I suspect it is all about preserving a well earned branding and not letting others get credit from it. K | kalkanite
11/10/2012 16:42 | spud - agreed. Just wish I hadn't sold 2/3 of these :>( | effortless cool
11/10/2012 16:38 | Yes, agreed, MTG - all possible, but all very temporary. Anyone planning a trip to Orlando? | effortless cool
11/10/2012 16:37 | EC - I'm pretty convinced that it's Universal. It's also worth a deal more than 20p on the share value too imo. Taking into account the 'halo effect', the number of sites Universal operate & total throughput, 80-100p is nearer the mark imo. spud | spud |
