Lloyds Banking Group names William Chalmers as CFO.


Lloyds Banking Group has appointed senior Morgan Stanley investment banker William Chalmers as its new chief financial officer.

Mr Chalmers, currently co-head of the US bank’s Global Financial Institutions Group, will join Lloyds in June and take over from incumbent George Culmer later in the year, it was announced on Friday.

Lloyds will pay Mr Chalmers around £4.4m in deferred cash and shares to make up for awards he will forfeit on leaving Morgan Stanley. His fixed pay will be around £1.3m per year, plus benefits and performance-based bonuses.
