If this is correct, the Gov't will probably lose. It appears voting could begin around 5pm-ish.

Sky Sources say MPs in the European Research Group are likely to abstain from tonight's vote on the Government motion which asks Parliament to "reiterate its support" for Theresa May's approach to Brexit.

The UK is a country taking back control, and finding its sovereignty. He he.

Yet it has passed the provision of energy to a partner with whom the broader West has security issues. So many of us find this logic mind boggling. - comment by Schalk Lourens, FT

Every fair democratic vote necessarily overturns any former Democratic vote on the same subject; I voted to join the then Common Market in 1975 (IN) and this was superceded by Brexit in 2016 (OUT). Every vote is valid democratically: A subsequent peoples vote to pull us OUT or confirm IN is therefore also valid as our politicians are unable to resolve the issue. (Of course it WAS their job in the first place).

4. Do they pose a threat?Dr Joana Cook, a senior research fellow at KCL who co-authored the study, said the researchers considered the women to be potential security threats based on several factors. She said: "[These include] the physical security roles and related training that women have undertaken in Isis-held territory, and the potential to transfer or apply these skills in other locations, or to pass these on to other people... including other women and their children."

.. to be able to come home and live quietly with my child...REALLY ??She will say whatever to be able to return in UK. If was not over she would remain there support and take part of the killing men, women and kids.. who cares what she thinks now, it's too late."The caliphate is over. There was so much oppression and corruption that I don't think they deserved victory," she said."I just want to come home to have my child. I'll do anything required just to be able to come home and live quietly with my child."

A most ridiculous non-story, gotnorolex, I imagine you'd agree.

Violet Bonham Carter's Winston Churchill as I knew him is quite an eye opener. I hadn't realized quite how bitterly and how widely Churchill was hated before the war. His own class loathed him for the People's Budget and the things associated with it; the working class hated him for a whole host of reasons.

What McDonnell has said used to be a pretty mainstream Labour view.

Churchill...Hero or Villain ?
Impecunious Cad! said Lord Plowden, governor of Hyderabad and forbade him from dating his daughter Pamela, until he settled his bar tabs, fed his horse properly and paid his marley (gardner)to water the dying terracotta potted plants in his unkempt cantonment garden!
His debt is still there to see, chalked on a slate in the BUS club after more than 100 years! Legend has it, he refused to settle it as he regarded it a 2nd rate watering hole! Prince Charles offered to settle the account recently but withdrew the offer when he learnt he would need to compensate for the value at the time plus interest and inflation, and would have to sell the Duchy to square it!

Safe Habour Statement!.........
Facts embellished a bit from the "Tales of Old India"!

When you filter people, there is also a 'view posts' choice so you can occasionally look in on the chimps to see how many bananas they have eaten.

Get to know your tools, idiot.

London has done nothing for us in the North of England. London has become a cesspit. It sucks the life and opportunity out of the rest of England, Wales and Scotland. Concessions from the EU are always requested for The City. The City is a nest for bad foreign money and money laundering; Arabs, Russians, Greeks, billionaire aristocracy and hereditary privilege. I've watched parts of Wales, Scotland and Northern England fall to ruin whilst London pampers itself.

Personally, if The City was nuked and the fall-out was within the M25 that would be the best solution ever for the rest of the UK.

The union of the United Kingdom hasn't worked for us in the North of England. Happy to let the union of Europe take control. London has had enough chances and always results in a fail.

The vote was pretty much 50/50. So the deal needs to reflect that.
