11/3/2024 15:21 | Hardup I suspect the reason for share price growth is that the market view is that the FCA will not find a lot and the Martin Lewis bubble will burst. I doesn't feel like PPI to me. "Buyer beware" must be considered when buying a car using a finance deal. Buyers are capable of shopping around for the best deal so I think the FCA conclusion will favour the banks. All IMO DYOR | car1pet
11/3/2024 14:54 | BP share price ten years ago £4.80. BP has bought back $25 billion worth of shares. BP pice today is £4.695. Lloyds might want to spread the share buybacks over the next financial year until it has a better idea of the wider UK economy, knows the FCA decision and knows the outcome of the next General Election. | eeezeeetiger

11/3/2024 13:03 | A sharp rise in share price when the ISA window opens and before ex-div would be logical hardup and I share your enthusiasm for the that scenario. Except the behaviour of LLOY share price is frequently irrational. | marktime1231

11/3/2024 11:55 | 11:05AM'I would expect some more to follow'On the prospect of further defections, Richard Tice added: "Let's wait and see, but unless there's an election called in the next few days, and if it is, Prime Minister, we're ready, then I would expect some more to follow."...Daily Telegraph | xxxxxy
11/3/2024 11:35 | If it wasn't for John Rambo your murderous defense sector leaning portfolio would be worth only a fraction of what it is today Scruff. I think its called synergy when Rambo provides value to the military industrial complex above and beyond the value of Rambo himself. Thinking about it that's probably why Stallone got the break.....he must have known someone at the CIA. | utrickytrees
11/3/2024 11:29 | But who wouldn't. If you bought a car in the right timeframe and you think there is some money waiting for you its a nobrainer. What Martin Lewis forgets and so complicates the situation is that the ruling is not until September. He should be playing it down until the criteria/guidelines for claiming are clear. All these claims just create unnecessary work for the banks and car dealers. Hopefully Lloyds are just ignoring the claims until the rules are clear. Martin Lewis is like all the "celebrity" influencers. He is more interested in increasing his own wealth | car1pet

11/3/2024 10:01 | I think that's probably because the actual cost to them of watching Tom Cruise is £12.50 vs about £75 for Harry Mcguire. | utrickytrees
11/3/2024 09:48 | Tricky - you have been too influenced by Arja. Your comprehension is waning. I cant abide the Oscar self congratulatory back slapping horror show - but thats just my opinion. But my other separate opinion is that everyone seems ok with say Tom Cruise who apparently is paid $100m per film for a fairly unremarkable skill and moan about people in other walks of life eg Ronaldo who probably gets about the same pay and yet is the worlds most highly paid and arguably the most skilled footballer in his time and are completely up in arms when they hear of some CEO earning say £10m pa for running one of the top companies earning the country billions and employing thousands and raging about the differential between his pay and the average worker. I never heard they same types comparing Cruise's wallet with that of the average guy lugging the props about. | scruff1
11/3/2024 09:21 | By mentioning the Oscars surely the implication is that it includes writing, directing & producing as well as acting? | utrickytrees
11/3/2024 08:49 | In comparison a footballer would have had to created a club from conception and taken it from non league to winning the champions league & scoring a hat trick in the final. Probably. | utrickytrees |
