16/12/2020 23:28 | Share price tailed off today, maybe markets getting nervy that no deal more likely and there might be more to Boris's willingness to talk up to 31st than meets the eye. Getting HofC lined up as well also showing 'good intent'. | cheshire pete
16/12/2020 23:18 | Don't need to play mr blue games.. he knows very well what is going on. Boris can't give up negotiations before year end or he will be blamed for refusing to negotiate with EU. M.Blue .. 16 days to go yet, I am sure you will get your Brexit...... lol. | k38

16/12/2020 23:03 | Rings true jl5006, think the WA was designed to keep us in and May's monumental act of deception. Thing that's puzzling me is when BJ realised this, think there must be some clued up legal people behind the scenes. | cheshire pete
16/12/2020 23:00 | Blue U dont read or understand do u. But u need to read and understand. Have u read and understood todays postings? U need to - this is ur life - comes only once | jl5006
16/12/2020 22:56 | CP critical event Should we fail to demonstrate best endeavour to obtain a FTA then under WA we will be subservient. The only way out is that the dossier demonstrates that the EU did not comply with best endeavours BTW CP should we fail to secure closure - the EU failed to act in good faith - then we are fcccked. Get real this is a very nasty game engineered by a sad barren may | jl5006
16/12/2020 22:55 | If WTO/WA/ NO DEAL etc, are so good why UK still negotiating why waste more time and delay Brexit? When is Bozo going to 'be dead in a ditch'? | misterbluesky
16/12/2020 22:42 | That would be Shergar's then? | ianood
16/12/2020 22:31 | Thanks for your good post jl5006, I haven't read the WA or comment you mention, but feel even more optimistic if Boris is playing a canny game following WA compliance then going for no deal. | cheshire pete
16/12/2020 22:28 | 16 days to go yet.. and I can't see Brussels agree with UKs terms, unless that French idiot give up his crazy demands. ...;))Happy new year UK. | k38
16/12/2020 22:20 | Yes CP But the WA is the key factor - u have NOT read the stuff above!! The WA determines all - well done Treason She might wet herself for once in her life There is an intent in the WA that parties that best endeavours are made to secure an agreement. The Eu has done what it has done - but the UK has to continue with that effort to the end and when that effort fails the legality of the WA can be challenged. FGS do not think the EU left it up to us - it was always THEM Very serious stuff M8 No trivial talk about anything. BJ has to be seen to be complying. | jl5006

16/12/2020 20:36 | I have read several times that Lloyd’s ‘book value’ is circa 60p but of course the share price is dictated by investor sentiment. The latest info on house prices and mortgage advances is welcome but also potentially a double edge sword. Lloyds is predominantly a uk focused business but will still be affected by an economic downturn (potential mortgage and loan defaults) and the current very low interest rates / margins. A dividend re-instatement decision early next year should at least hopefully underpin the current share price but realistically Lloyd’s must be viewed in the context of being either a medium and long term growth and dividend investment or for trading the inevitable ups and downs in the shorter term or not be invested at all. | millwallfan
16/12/2020 20:17 | Oh yes I have....do you want another go weatherman? | utrickytrees
