The buffoon is just that a total prat.
No sane leader would ever - in peacetime - manage - the wrong word - totally ignore the democratic process - to present an endgame that is just subservience - and if it is not call time in October.
In days gone by the men in white coats would arrive and take you away to the asylum.

jl5006...WTO would have been an acceptable outcome had we had a few months ( not hours) to plan. I just think the EU had offered enough for Boris days ago, I guess he has nothing to lose by playing bluff til one minute to midnight on the basis he has the Deal fallback position.

BBC just reported that there is a "buzz" among Tory MPs that a deal is close. If Parliament is asked to sit next week by JRM, that will be confirmation, ahead of any joint announcement.

Sue Norminton15 Dec 2020 4:03PMJust listened to Patrick Minford talking about post-Brexit trade policy, and his new book.(Link for Patricia Clausen-Thue : https://youtu.be/Hahl0EKc1WA )I'm convinced we should embrace WTO terms, and cut tariffs aggressively. Now is the time to embrace unilateral free trade; there will never be a better time politically.Of course, lots of Conservatives are protectionist, which is a problem, but Boris has a golden opportunity now which may never be repeated..
