18/12/2019 21:30 | SNP MP sparks fury as he is spotted crossing his fingers while swearing loyalty to Queen SNP MP Steven Bonnar sparked a furious reaction online after being spotted crossing his fingers during the swearing-in ceremony in the House of Commons. One user wrote on Twitter: "Just a simple question @StevenBonnarSNP what possessed you to cross your fingers whilst affirming your lawful oath to serve @theSNP and members of your Constituency? "We need this to be addressed with a public statement." Another said: "Steven Bonnar is an embarrassment to himself, his party and more importantly, his country. "No doubt he felt like a really big boy with his moronic finger-crossing stunt. Everyone else just saw a cupid stunt." One viewer wrote on the social media platform: "@NicolaSturgeon if Steven Bonnar can’t swear into Parliament properly then perhaps he should not be there. "At the very least he should grow up! If he can’t swear allegiance to the crown, then don’t be a UK MP!" Another added: "What an embarrassing child Steven Bonnar is. Get back over Hadrians Wall. No place in Westminster for childish gestures like that. #Parliament." | freddie01
18/12/2019 21:29 | Getting out just in time. | cheshire pete
18/12/2019 21:29 | So how does all this malarky play out for lloy? The 'no deal' scenario is well over played in my opinion. So I'm expecting more 'adjustment' .Hope I'm wrong.Good Luck. | mitchy
18/12/2019 21:22 | Yes it's like watching a car crash in slow motion. The euro is under heavy pressure not just because of the German economy but because the UK is seen as the first rat to leave a sinking ship. The EU have made so many expensive mistakes and the process of trying to unify different speed economies was doomed from the start. If only the EEC had just stayed with the original concept of free trade etc and not tried to integrate all the ex communist and pigs under one flag. | mitchy
18/12/2019 21:15 | lol this bb good advert for 'diversity', where else could you get simultaneous discussions on the state of banking and warpaint. | cheshire pete
18/12/2019 21:10 | SR appreciate your point but is the situation with the banks anywhere near as bad as in 2008? Carney came out with some reassuring comments recently, which suggests not BWTFDIK. | cheshire pete
18/12/2019 21:06 | I dont deny the point about warpaint but the English women have been known for centuries to be a funny shape with bad hair ,legs and skin ,and the politicos dont exactly enhance their essential lack of attractiveness. Too fat and badly dressed ,also is the main problem which does not happen with politicos in the States. Anyway I am fed up with this. It is the bleedin' obvious again. | mr.elbee
18/12/2019 21:03 | Mitchy,Germany's economy is in recession ,and finished for at least ten years. This is the view of mainstream economists.Since Germany drives the EU economy..the EU is also doomed to "Japanisation" i.e 10 or more years of permanent slump.Italy has had twenty already, so I suppose a few more wont matter. And then the woman running the ECB is a loop de loop corrupt lawyer with zero business or economics background..a really bright appointment that was!. Merkel who held it all together is off.. so there will be no political agreement ..essential for the equally essential fiscal union,if the euro is to survive. So the Euro wont survive..the Euro area will be in permanent recession but we will be free doing deals round the world. The timing is perfect for us..bad for the EU Commission.. But that's life. The boot is clearly on the other foot now. | mr.elbee
18/12/2019 20:57 | Beauty's only skin deep.. American wimmin know the way around the warpaint department. | maxk
18/12/2019 20:56 | Pete , We need to get our 2 way trades going again . | bargainbob
18/12/2019 20:52 | Obviously different for income albeit total return , capital key anyway Stay on top of the sector on div I think a bit dodgy now | sentimentrules
18/12/2019 20:52 | I'm not god's gift,jacko,definitel Duff looking | mr.elbee
18/12/2019 20:52 | SR Have had some success trading LLOY with the volatility in recent times. Closed today for a small gain with a few minutes to spare after having been down most of the day. Rally last 45 mins. | cheshire pete
18/12/2019 20:51 | They still gamble Can only imagine what most books are like. .. highly creative.. a few caught out.. subprime again ..just different packages and names. High risk Most will laugh given current regs but I think..high risk value market ... with little reward in capital value . Untouchable bar trades | sentimentrules
18/12/2019 20:48 | It'a not impressing markets. That's all we need to know. . Market has its reasons... whatever they are. .hard to beat market lol | sentimentrules
18/12/2019 20:44 | SR, I know rock all about banking but it seems they have no problem generating profits, which gives a warm feeling, but the impairments come across as difficult to quantify which I find surprising and unsettling given bankers' typically cautious mindset and approach to risk. | cheshire pete
18/12/2019 20:42 | You know what they say. . If you can't offer value, offer yield lol Think how much of this stock is owned based on income Look at price. Now imagine if that money wasn't here 30p? Price tells you, zero value speculation bar traders | sentimentrules
18/12/2019 20:36 | Decent yield alright Cheshire but you'd want to be on the ball for smelling a cut coming maybe within 2 years. Not just Lloyd anyway Very high yield on some banks given tests they have | sentimentrules
18/12/2019 20:19 | Look at what they pay jurors .. but some are happy (you know who) | maxk
18/12/2019 20:04 | That's a shocking story about those thugs who glued themselves to a train, stoned you. What difference does their motivation make to the commuters who couldn't get to work on time? Ideally we should jail the judge and the members of the jury in that case. | grahamite2
18/12/2019 19:57 | SR Have to admit reflected on your view of LLOY after reading in the DT today about yesterday's share price fall 'after results of stress tests raised concerns over the bank's ability to deliver on share buyback plans next year'. Seems to be one thing after another with LLOY, quite happy holding for yield compounding up but capital growth less clear. | cheshire pete |
