Single currency has proved to be disaster. But if we had ever engaged with the EU, we could have bossed the show with Germany (& poss France). But academic now as leaving.

Just a question of what type of trade deal. Any views on who Boris was trying to placate with the proposed "enshrined in law" deadline.?

So
Which Mediterranean country, or which other EU member country...any?..wants to leave the European Union?
The EU is the European Union..a Union of member states who support each other
The EU supported Greece, The EU supported Portugal
It is a union, a common market a collective
The screw you we can do better with out you is any thing but, its is a return to the bad old days.
The UK will be better off out of this Union??
The UK will be better off with out Scotland..screw you
Why does England need Wales?
Don't need their coal any more, don't need their sheep when "we" can ship frozen lamb all the way from New Zealand..fuk em
What does it need the Irish for, is England short of potatoes?
Why are London's tax payers funding the north of England?
Why are "we" letting in foreigners when "our" home grown teenage unemployed, unemployable single mums, can not afford to feed there three basterd kids on the benefits they get handed out to live in the rent free, council tax paid council houses
Why does Yorkshire maintain motorways that alowe people to drive to the north east, and not charge them ?
See where this is going...its a very slippery slope
Lets raid the next village, burn down their huts and steel all of their chickens
I wouldn't want to hang my hat on the USA's peg, they have screwed every one they have ever come across, still do, and will.

@Mitchy,

Remainer traitors like Grieve and Soubry wanted the UK taxpayer to be propping up the EU in that eventuality.

Arrogance, ignorance old faces, love the glory to become leaders...Unless they found a young new face with new direction and ideas outside the old circus the labour has no chance in hell to win power the next two elections at least.

Are you for real G2?

You say anyone prior to Jan 1973. The Windrush people have learnt what that means haven't they when you talk of papers. (See my post above about your dear HMRC).

What about someone who became resident in 1974. That is 45 years ago!

Are you losing your marbles?

What have I got to do with it? We are talking about continentals.

I suppose those who settled here before we joined the EU will have got "the relevant papers" at the time.

G2 - just how many countries have you lived in? You can 'believe' whatever you like but it comes down to applying for residence and getting the relevant papers. 'Believing' is for the fairies.

The UK tax office lost my records twice. It does not matter what I believed in. I had to provide copies of documents twice for them to rebuild the files. It cost me £20k waiting through their incompetence.

I know continentals who lived here before we ever joined the EEC, who continued to live here throughout our membership, and who plan to stay here after we leave. I don't believe for a moment they'll be harshly or improperly treated after we have gone.

Alp... got to agree with you on the benefits issue. If a permit to work in the UK is granted to anyone (Europe or beyond) their entitlements to health and housing should be on par with UK citizens albeit they have being paying in for longer, National Insurance is there for a purpose.

mm2 - two questions there plus one you have not asked - the reciprocal issue.
- free EU region movement with some controls. Most immigration is non EU don't forget. (Estimate of untracked illegals in the UK today around 3m).
- residents should be allowed to stay (exceptions for serious criminals).
- reciprocal arrangements for GB citizens aboard. (Total I believe 5.5m of which around 1m in the EU).

I am also not in favour at all of passport shopping. One nationality allowed per person. Several posters here have multiple passports - they would need to choose one.

A straight opinion for you.

Do you think ALL EU citizens should be allowed to move here and ALL ones that are already here, should be allowed to stay without any checks whatsoever?
