This is holding up pretty well considering the blood bath on the markets today.

Gary Delaney was one of the acts, really funny but not for the PC brigade.

I think so Graham but only within certain parameters. Don't want to scare the horses and all that.

Is it still legal to make people laugh? The BBC seems to think not.

Interesting grahamite2, well whatever it is, they do do a good job. :)

Here are the wines I would recommend:

White Wines

Beringer White Zinfandel California, USA
Tangley Oaks Chardonnay Napa Valley, USA
Hess Chardonnay Monterey California, USA
Kendall Jackson Chardonnay Vintner’s Reserve California, USA
Murphy-Goode Sauvignon Blanc Sonoma County, USA
Simi Sauvignon Blanc Sonoma County, USA

Red Wines

Castle Rock Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles California, USA
Seven Daughter Pinot Noir California, USA
Tangley Oaks Merlot Coastal California, USA

All good stuff.

Minerve - I was told years ago that French vineyards are very much commercial propositions, the owners' livelihoods, but most California wineries are owned by people who retired after making a bundle, and who run the winery purely in pursuit of excellence, with money a minor consideration.

Whoever thinks that the UK is going to get a good deal from the USA is living in cloud cuckoo land.

In the position that we find ourselves post Brexit, we will have to roll over or starve.

Crossing, have you ever had any Chateau Musar? It's something I've been meaning to get around to for years but somehow never have"

Yes I've sipped at several. They're pretty goo but for the price £25-35/bottle there is far better value elsewhere. Had them via Majestic Wines, Virgin Wines and Waitrose.

Personally prefer Kiwi/Argie and Aussie myself...smattering of US and Chile, and RSA here and there.

But am always looking to try out something different.
