So, no such as free lunch from labour!!Labour will cut regulated rail fares in England by 33% from Jan 2020 & make rail travel free for those 16 and under. It will cost 1.5 billion and family car owners will have to pay.. so how much will be the average annual car tax then? .Free labour cash for train shareholders!!

Id back any party on a mandate to improve the lot of shop floor care workers, minimum wage simply isnt enough.

Care workers get 40-50% of what the Care company gets paid by the NHS from what I've seen. Outrageous.

And some of the chiefs of these Care companies are fraudulent fokkers.

One thing I would do is make sure care workers were paid decent money. In the main they do a fantastic job, you always get the odd one, but that's life. My nan stayed in a nursing home and it was very good, no complaints. Care workers helped my mum look after my Dad during his final months. I have nothing but admiration for them, they do a very very difficult job and were a massive support to my Mum, mentally aswell as physically. They became friends. You need be a certain type of person to do that job, I could not do it. They work for peanuts dealing with your most valuable possessions, your family. It's time we started valuing these people, otherwise you will get completely the wrong sort of person in the job.

Why was he shot in the head...ffs unbelievable these people m5, they thought he had a suicide jacket on and capable of pressing a button to activate it. He had to be taken out asap, so the officers acted correctly and courageously imv and I hope the warped do-gooders don't call for them to be investigated.

And you (bb) tell me to, "Engage brain before gob please"...hmmm.

No personal offence intended! But just look at this country in a slightly different light. The USA is our BIGGEST investor - why is that? We have a relatively adaptable and stable workforce/political system. We seem to them to be in a 'race to the bottom' as a cost base (Our Unions are broken) and, with them backing Boris they hope this trend will continue.
The EU in its first 40 odd years has behaved in a similar fashion but is slowly trying to get the internal balance of market/production pressures whilst still having a capitalist system. America used to have such a system but, as outlined, it was suckered into the 'flight of capital' syndrome. The capitalist system is the best we have but it has its limitations.

Its easier for councils to police them than run them G2, so yes the sector is better now privately run.

Utricky....My mum the same ..the thing is the local authorities set limit that they will pay...say 550 pounds per week.

My mum paid 875 pounds a week...the nursing's home can't exist on the fees that local authority gives..so private savers make up the rest.

BTW that was in Scotland so don't believe all the rubbish that everything g is free in Scotland///only some things are.
