Morning Min

"All those students/youth who want to save the planet are not going to become right-wing materialistic consumers anymore. Game's over"

I am sure whilst they are still living at home and living a jolly old life they will stick to their principles, however when the reality of the real World hits them, job, responsibility's, mortgages, family etc, they will become what most people are, and all those protests and anti establishment rhetoric will be a distant memory. It's not like it had not happened before.

Poika - I wonder when the cross over point comes in terms of the environment? i.e. Manufacture and shipment of the installation versus the energy production?
(Normally people only talk of the financial side (10yrs?))

MM2 - "Stored energy is coming on in leaps and bounds so not too long now when your panels and storage can supply ALL your electric needs...............No more gas/electric bills!!!"

Or to look at it another way, think of how much you'll be benefiting the environment.

mm2 - thx. As I had mentioned the grids are starting to store excess for you which means having battery packs will no longer be necessary. Amazing equipment btw, panels made in US and the inverters in Germany. All looks super quality.

I have read some of these posts but when someone started talking about the UK being a free and independent state WITHIN the EU....I had to have a brisk run around the fields again.

These remainers just do not do history, logic. economics, sociology, reasonableness, fairness, commonsense...

they are what they are..

Alp, you've told me in the past that you live in France, now it's Switzerland. Have you moved/been booted out of France or what.

mm2 - on a more interesting subject the new solar panels have been installed and connected. I mentioned that in the UK there were limits on the kw going into the grid; well it must be similar here as two parallel inverters have been fitted to split the system. Now to see how well it functions in the Autumn sun.
Have you ever installed heat pumps - any good?

If we had a referendum on whether to chase fools' gold, then we should either chase it or not chase it according to the result of the referendum.

Abraham Lincoln's statement could have been written for the Brexit saga:

"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time".

In this case the many (most on this thread) will discover that they have indeed been chasing fools' gold.

"Absorb all the 5% of change from May's deal".

This statement highlights the media manipulation:

- pro BoJo - a new deal totally different to TM's and the greatest thing since sliced bread.
- anti BoJo - TM's deal in disguise that has been voted down three times.

It can not be both and tells you just how the public is being treated as puppets. No win/win here.
