21/8/2020 14:15 | James Bertram , Thursday, August 20, 2020, 08:09:'For this miniscule detail, the EU and Irish Governments fabricated the N.I. border issue, claiming that somehow the integrity of the entire Single Market was at stake because of Brexit.'Never forget that our Remainer establishment, media, the May government (and to some extent, Johnson's government), and the opposition parties, all happily went along with this deception so as to cheat the people, to delay Brexit, and to attempt to impose a 'Brexit In Name Only' on the UK. | xxxxxy

21/8/2020 13:33 | Come on maxk, you can't just say "nonsense" Give us the rationale. If you can that is. 😏 | minerve 2
21/8/2020 13:32 | I disagree as the UK has too much debt = low growth economy = negative interest rates = more debt being taken on. Therefore the UK is not coming out of this at all well. The countries that are going to do best are either those with low debt ie Russia or those that actually produce and make things ie Germany & China. | loganair
21/8/2020 13:31 | Breathtaking nonsense! | maxk
21/8/2020 13:29 | "under ever increasing burdens of debt" UK public debt tops £2tn for first time on Covid-19 spending boom - FT Which planet did you wake-up on this morning Cheshire? Was it Planet Zorg? | minerve 2
21/8/2020 13:27 | "UK will prosper while EU goes nowhere at best and more likely falls apart under ever increasing burdens of debt and immigration." It will not be caused by debt or immigration per se but by the attitudes and policies towards them. The US has done well by its views and policies towards immigration and debt over the last century and Japan has stagnated because of its views/policies towards immigration and debt. The EU will only fail if other countries allow idiots and populist charlatans to rule the roost. | minerve 2
21/8/2020 13:26 | Nothing has changed! Barnier blows top at Brexit stalemate - Frost stands firm on fishingMICHEL BARNIER warned time is running out to broker a free-trade agreement after talks failed to break months of bitter deadlock.... Daily Express...Tick tock and all that.No Deal. Great.WTO.End of the EUSSR gibberish. Save trillions for the UK over time. No Deal. Ideal | xxxxxy
21/8/2020 13:20 | Beautiful county Derbyshire. "One day we will rejoin"..... lol UK will prosper while EU goes nowhere at best and more likely falls apart under ever increasing burdens of debt and immigration. Plain as a pikestaff to all but remainers. | cheshire pete
21/8/2020 13:12 | Stick to your guns EU. We don't want the strength of the EU undermined by a bunch of victorian capitalist cronies and their following ignorant masses. One day we will rejoin you as equal to compete on the world stage with other superpowers on real issues rather than superficial ones made-up by charlatans. | minerve 2
21/8/2020 13:03 | "I've only ever holidayed in the UK" Ever managed to get out of Derbyshire on your travels? LOL! | minerve 2
21/8/2020 13:02 | Brexit Britain. Constantly heading towards the cliff. No halting it. Brexit Britain wants to self harm. Ok. Then go. Jump! | minerve 2
21/8/2020 12:59 | There is increasing talk that the Bank of England will go into negative interest rates which is negative for Lloyds profitability and therefore I would not be surprised at some point in the not too distant future seeing the Lloyds share price going sub 20p. | loganair
21/8/2020 12:52 | RoW happy to deal with us cos they know there'll be no funny business going on. No deal and real brexit....no last minute remainer fudges, then we'll start talking. Meanwhile sign up deals elsewhere. Let the private sector sort it out, not the remain Civil Service. | cheshire pete

21/8/2020 12:23 | Expect a deal. Last minute fudge. UK decides to get out there and trade with the world ... right as the world decides to pick up its ball and go home. | alex1621
21/8/2020 12:20 | Politics latest news: Brexit talks in deadlock as both UK and EU admit a deal is looking ever more unlikely... Daily Telegraph...So.No Deal.Ideal.WTO | xxxxxy
21/8/2020 12:17 | chav, as a patriotic type, how come you are not holidaying in the UK, helping to keep hard pressed British businesses afloat. Terrible to see British people spending money unesssarily outside the UK at a time like this. | essentialinvestor
21/8/2020 12:17 | cheshire When people go on holiday they should be able to choose wherever they want. Whether it helps the UK economy or not is not the 1st priority for most and neither should it be. If there are gaping holes in the UK tourist industry it is up to the UK tourist industry to get their act together and make it attractive along with the government to help them. But with the Tories you'll never get it when most of them are holidaying abroad themselves on the yachts of their multi-millionaire buddies and sponsors. Corbyn would have more empathy to the UK tourist industry than any Tory. | minerve 2
21/8/2020 12:12 | cheshire - then pass the hat around. I see that we have mob rule today; a sign of weakness. So in the mob's books anybody going to live abroad (they know who they are here) - or just one or two posters? | alphorn |
