cheshire - it is being able to bounce back. I feel for many who through no fault of their own will have difficult times in the coming months. Not a good experience.

maxidi - you have now. ;)

Like the bit above 'there is no evidence to show that a mask prevents.....'.
An old debating trick that.
There is no evidence to show that it does not help either.

Anyone undergoing a tricky heart operation will be pleased to see that the surgeon and nurses are wearing masks.

Of course it helps.

Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm. Attributed to Churchill.
Have had plenty of failures over the years Alphorn. I take it that it is something you've never experienced.

mm2 - those are pretty quick. I run a Magnum V8 motor and they would catch me. Rarely used by the Customs people. No speed limits on the lake.

Yet another big BBC impartiality row this morning, but this time I'm inclined to side with the BBC. The government's handling of COVID and the exams situation has been woefully inept and that's objective fact, not Party politics.

“How a Government led by technocrats nearly destroyed a generation of social mobility.”
“The most surprising thing about the present cabinet is how deeply unpolitical many of its members are - [Gavin] Williamson included.”

Switzerland – The Swiss Armed Forces operate Aquarius-class patrol boats on Lake Geneva, Lake Maggiore, Lake Lucerne, Lake Lugano and Lake Constance. The small vessels are manned by the 10th Motorboat Company of the Engineers Corps.
