So the question of what flavour of Brexit we will be getting is overriding everything until the end of Jan. I'm ok with that. If it meanders down to 59p I'll be adding again and again at 55p and 50p. I've currently got two lots in reserve but can find a third in a worst case scenario.
Good Luck and a Merry Xmas.

I was under the impression she had been interviewed once already by the police. I cannot see a fair process going forward now that this has become a media circus.

I respect your opinion though. I am sure we agree it isn't as clear cut as some of the clowns on here would see it.

M2 - I can't agree with you on this one. It is true that today it is more of an 'issue' than just an accident. If it was a plain accident then why didn't she do as she had said and waited to be interviewed?
If it had been my child and if it was a plain accident I would not be out to seek revenge. I can not give you my answer if the person ran away; not an easy position.

WHY THE UK IS DESPERATE THAT SCOTLAND LEAVES THE EU

When Scotland becomes independent then there will have to be a discussion with the European Union as to the type of relationship we would have. Basically because the relationship between the European Union and the United Kingdom will not be the relationship offered to an independent Scotland. We will not pay in the same contributions that the UK did with 65 Million nor will we be offered the same veto's.

However, given that Scotland has already been an integral part of the European Union for the last four decades I do not envisage any major difficulties in negotiating continued or renewed membership of the European Union. Having said that the Scottish Government in an independent Scotland will have to consult the Scottish electorate regarding any future relationship with the European Union and it is at that point where those who may be sceptical can exercise their democratic right to vote against any deal.

I have no doubt that an independent Scotland will have full control of all its territorial waters, including fishing, and will have full control of all the Oil and Gas within those territorial waters. Given the importance of those waters to European fishing fleets I have every faith that the European Union will want to welcome Scotland with open arms. I have also every faith that many businesses from south of the border and further afield will see an independent Scotland as a very attractive location for their business because we will have access to the Customs Union and Single Market.

I can understand why that would be alarming to the rest of the United Kingdom and especially an English Parliament that is outside the European Union desperately trying to entice the likes of the United States of America into investing and locating in the United Kingdom or what's left of it. And that is before we even get into 'Trade Deals'. The British Government would be furious and concerned in equal measure that English companies were looking to relocate north of the border to gain access to 500 Million Europeans. Just imagine the affect that would have on any negotiating tactics between the UK Government and the United States during Trade talks. The Americans would be well aware of the desperation of the British Government to secure a good trade deal and they would exploit that fact to the hilt.

The British Government desperately wants to retain Scotland but not just for our vast resources but to prevent us becoming a more attractive prospect for outside investors. It is for that reason they are desperate to convince the people of Scotland that we will not get back into the European Union. We are in the European Union and it is because we are attached to the United Kingdom that we wont be for much longer.

Alas the people of Scotland are looking south and we are not impressed with what the United Kingdom has to offer in a Post Brexit race to the bottom.

Minerve2..I am just so thankful that there aren't many sociopaths like you posting on here, it shows by the dearth of upticks that you are a pariah.

What has a man's occupation and pet dog, if indeed either is fact, got to do with your hate filled views on the death of a young motorcyclist.

You really are a saddo.

The next leadership team needs to recognise the fundamental errors that made Labour unelectable

In 2017, Corbyn’s defeat was diagnosed as a victory. Now, the danger is that the excuses outrun the facts again

David Miliband

Sun 22 Dec 2019 07.05 GMTLast modified on Sun 22 Dec 2019 08.03 GMT

At three successive elections in the last decade, Labour has failed to address the reasons for its defeat. The consequence is simple. We lose again. The electorate send us back to the classroom. This time, a similar failure, a further relapse into denial, and the result could be fatal for the party and the communities we are supposed to serve. The question for the party is fundamental: are we really serious about getting back into government? If not, then it is the political graveyard not just the classroom that beckons.

In 2010, Labour won eight seats out of 210 in the south of England outside London. But we were told that the problem was the Blair legacy, even though we had won many of those seats in the Iraq-stained election of 2005. We underestimated our opponents and moved into the comfort zone of talking to ourselves.

I don't see why she should return. There is no purpose other than to execute a witch hunt. She was on the wrong side of the road. She accepts that. If her husband had not been employed in intelligence at the time she would not have found herself needing to drive on UK roads. This was affectively forced upon her rather than it being of her own free will whilst on holiday. What is important is that procedures are looked at to make sure US families here as part of diplomatic duty are given better access to training, or compulsory tests, to reduce the chances of it happening again.

If diplomatic immunity is watered down then families might think twice about serving abroad. That would be a backward step.

No question in my mind that the American lady should return to answer charges.

I posted about the 'CD' plated lady here who killed a Harley rider a few km from my home. She had to be blocked off by another driver as she wanted to drive away. She refused to be breathalysed because of the CD status. She appeared in court, showed no remorse, could not care a less. The judge said that he had never experienced such an attitude. Nothing could be done - the CD status.

Witch hunt mentality. This country is going to the dogs.

I hope Trump/US tells them no way when it comes to extradition. I'm sorry for their loss but we cannot have ignorants who cannot appropriately come to terms with their loss compromising important structures that exist for a reason.

If they cared about their son they wouldn't have allowed him on a death trap motorbike in the first place. It is asking for trouble.
